“Great find in Alpharetta/John's Creek!!”
Reviewed June 23, 2011

We've been living in the Alpharetta area for years and have always heard people raving about this place, but our busy schedules never allowed the time. Man, were we missing out! My husband and I went there with another couple on Thursday night. When we walked in we were promptly seated at a table with a great view of the piano. Our waiter was very polite and knew a lot about the menu. We ordered a few appetizers and had bread as well as salads to go with our meal. Not very many places offer that sort of thing without charging nowadays. Then on to the main course. Everyone ordered something different, (veal, chicken, pasta, seafood) and no one was disappointed. The food was great, the portions were perfect although we were already filled up from the aforementioned feast. The entertainment was lovely. They had a great piano player with a gentlemen singing some old favorites. Overall I think the atmosphere is why people are always talking about this place. There's a definite neighborhood feel to it that you can't get dining at the Olive Garden. No wonder they've been there since the 80's. We had a lovely time and will definitely be back here again!!

“Cosy, Romantic, Nice Ambiance, Good Service, Large (good) Portions”
Reviewed May 15, 2009

Husband & I and group of friends (16) visited Altobeli's first time last night. I just had to write a review to offset some sour comments herein. We found the service friendly and professional. They were unfazed when we all jumped around tirying to decide where to sit (!); one of us upset a full glass of water; etc. "Country come to the city." Nice covered entrance with tables & chairs where you can enjoy fresh air with your drink. My table (white table cloth, black napkins, candle light) of five got all different dishes, and everyone raved and took home doggy bags. Personally, hubby & I ordered 3 appetizers to share - just for the experience. Found it most rewarding. Thursday night is $3.95 martini night and we ordered "peach martinis" for a new taste treat. Our charming waiter "David" had absolutely no problem with separate checks, though we were many. They have a great piano player - and various singers of varying talent there - but it's open mike some evenings and seems like fun. If you wish, there are two large dining rooms where you can more or less escape the performers. But the bar, where it music is, is lively, busy and fun. There is an unobtrusive TV above the bar for die-hard sports fans. We'll go back - if they'll have us!

“Good atmosphere, Bad service and Food”
Reviewed April 3, 2009

My husband and I went to Altobeli's while on vacation. The atmosphere is wonderful and incredibly romantic but you can't enjoy it for the poor food and service. We waited at the door ten minutes before some came to seat us which I found incredibly rude. The waiter wasn't any better. We didnt enjoy the food either. We probably left 3/4 s of it on our plates.
I wouldnt go again
