The Cotton Patch Inn
Ranked #1 of 1 Ailey B&B and Inns
Reviewed September 22, 2008

My husband and I visited The Cotton Patch Inn in January of this year ('08) and it was great! We stayed there to be close to Vidalia, and the drive was quite easy there and back.
The house is gorgeous and family run; the normal caretaker was our of town at the time and we were taken care of by her sister or sister-in-law, who was very accommodating. We were the only guests that night which meant we got the entire house to ourselves, which was great! We stayed in the first bedroom on the left as soon as you go in the front door and it was very pretty.
The surrounding grounds are nice and are probably really nice in the Spring/Summer/Fall. Our host mentioned a field of sunflowers just down the road, planted by a family member (I think.)
Breakfast was good and very Southern. We will definitely stay here again!

The innkeepers are kindness personified, I felt like royalty. The B&B itself is beautiful, spotlessly clean and everything a traveler needs is provided (plenty of towels, soaps, refreshments, etc). The rooms are decorated very nicely with some impressive antiques. The breakfast was out of this world. The back deck/porch is very nice for relaxing and eating.
The Ailey area has acres and acres of cotton fields that look like snow that's fallen on flowers. The small town has a very charming long white wooden bridge and gazebo, a park with picnic tables and a walking trail around a pond, and other picturesque sights including very well-kept small Victorian homes with gingerbread trim.
It's also well worth the short drive into the nearby town of Vidalia to get some of their world famous & delicious sweet onions.
I look forward to going back.
