Please send us an e-mail or call 770.773.7480. The 19th century farmhouse, now known as the Rice House restaurant, serves as the historical cornerstone on the north lawn of the resort. Meticulously dismantled on the original Rice Plantation in nearby Rome, Georgia before it was carefully relocated and resurrected at Barnsley Resort, our culinary team pays homage to the home's Southern heritage. Our chefs rely on locally farm-grazed cattle and garden-grown produce (inquire about what is grown here at the resort) as well as taking inspiration from what is in the moment and unexpected in his interpretation of modern farmhouse cuisine. The Sun Porch and two small private dining rooms are perfect for guests wishing to entertain friends or colleagues.

“Pretty place on a pretty property”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

We weren't able to eat in this restaurant due to a private luncheon. Apparently this is often the case with meetings, etc. It was very pretty and would be a great place for a rehearsal dinner if you had a wedding on the property. I did walk through and liked the interior, including the ladies' room. I believe there is some history that goes along with the house, also.

“Excellent Dining Experience”
Reviewed August 26, 2012

We dined on Saturday evening at seven. The restaurant was busy but not crowded. My wife had the evening special (sea bass) and I had the Scottish salmon. Both were excellent! Frankly, better than some of the high end restaurants in Atlanta. The presentation was very professional. Service, like everywhere on Barnsley Gardens, was superb! Highly, highly recommended!

“Excellent service and wine menu”
Reviewed May 16, 2012

Went to the restaurant since we were staying at Barnsley Gardens - it was extremely good. We were on the inclusive plan so we were able to order anything on the menu (alcohol is more$$) but it was a great deal - nice ambiance and great food... enjoy!

The menu has wonderful variation in choices. All prepared beautifully. Only caveat...slow service at times.
