“Poor food quality and taste for breakfast”
Reviewed July 15, 2014

Food sounds good but is actually quite bland. Service was polite but very slow/even though the restaurant was empty

“Sit on the deck”

What a great place to sit to watch kids fishing and folks coming in from a round of golf. Great service. Try to fried green tomatoes.

“Yumď”
Reviewed July 11, 2014 via mobile

What a great restaurant at Barnsley Gardens Resort. The menu is not extensive but diverse enough for every one.

We really enjoyed all our meals at this restaurant. The had relocated to the Rice House because they were doing some renovations.

I would have liked to bring our dogs with us but it was okay.

All our waiters and waitresses were for nice and helpful.

I can't wait to go back.

“Memorable food AND wine!”
Reviewed July 8, 2014

Dinner at the Woodlands Grill was the unexpected highlight of our trip to Barnsley! Our first impression of the menu was that it was limited/uninteresting, but I'm so glad we gave it a try.

The quail appetizer was phenomenal, as was the venison, trout and grouper that we tried. The homemade bourbon pecan pie ice cream was unforgettable. I'd easily rank the food on par with many of our favorite foodie restaurants back in Atlanta. And the impressive wine list was better than most! Chef Adam Hayes is clearly very talented, I hope he has the chance to showcase his talents and spice up the menu.

We enjoyed all our meals on the outdoor patio overlooking the golf course - beautiful!

The wait staff was ok, but overall service was not on the same level as the food. I'm sure this depends on the server, but our experience was rushed. Breakfast service definitely needs some serious work.
