I'll preface this by saying that I grew up in a Sicilian neighborhood up north in the 60's & 70's. So what can I say about this establisment? Well, I've been several times. The owner is very nice. The staff is always friendly and nice. And the place is spotless! You can eat al fresco if you like. But I'm just not impressed with the food. The first visit I ordered a calzone. Out comes this little thing that was about the same size and appearance of a hot-dog bun. Mostly bread and dried out. Ok, you had just opened so I'll give you that one. Came again a week or so later. Ordered Eggplant parmigiana (I had missed on the menu that it was a sandwich). Sauce was meh. My date had the lasagna. She said the same. Back for a pizza a week or so later. Wasn't impressed. Last week, another date and she wanted to try the place. She ordered lasagna and I had chicken parmigiana. (again on a sandwich). Nothing to crow about. Sorry to say that date #2 thought your lasagna was bland also. Also, they will bring you homemade bread. But no butter, tapenade or oil and herbs to dip in. I like the establishment, but I'm just being honest about the food. And I'll come back.
