One Ocean Resort & Spa
Ranked #1 of 3 Hotels in Atlantic Beach

Even though we live 45mins away, the One Ocean Hotel truly has the feeling of being in an upscale vacation spot far away from home. The hotel decor is amazing, vibrant, modern and classy. I highly recommend a beachfront room as you can see up and down the coastline for miles, it's breathtaking and there is nothing like watching the sunrise at the beach. I've done alot of traveling and they have beds and pillows that you just melt in and the robes are very cozy. They even provide a fridge stocked with complimentary "One Ocean" bottled water and soda along with free snacks. To top it off there was even a concerige that came by to offer to iron our clothes! If you want a real treat, their spa is top of the line with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the pool and beach, can't get more relaxed than that. There are also plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. The only drawback is the $25 resort fee and I still don't quite understand why they charge both a room tax and a bed tax but it's minimal.

Room Tip: Get a beach front room so you can fully enjoy the amazing views!

Stopped at the hotel for two nights on our way to Orlando for a Disney/Orlando vacation. The hotel was beautifully decorated, service was amazing, and staff was super attentive. The pool and spa were amazing and top rate.
Atlantic Beach is a super neat community. Cool vibe and neat, local restuarants. We loved the super wide beach that everyone rides bikes on. We would love to come back and rent bikes.

I stayed at this hotel a few times in the past few months for business. I will definitely return. The service is amazing. The hotel is clean and classy. The prices were low for a hotel of this caliber. I had dinner in the hotel's restaurant. The food was WONDERFUL!! It was one of the best meals that I had in Florida. I over heard someone saying that the chef was nominated for a James Beard award. The only downside is that they don't have a business center. The front desk will print your boarding passes for you but it would be nice to have access to a printer.

I read a previous review written my ManchesterRay. I could have written it myself. The decor in the hotel is fabulous, elegant, sophisticated and the ocean views from the spa and restaurant are spectacular, however a pet peeve of mine is when hotels tout extraordinary service that sets them apart from other establishments,,,,,and then they charge you extra for it. They make a big deal of providing a "docent" for each floor (First off, I always thought that the term "docent" referred to museum tour guides. Why not just call them valets? Not pretentious enough??) and they provided snacks and other amenities with the room, but why not just charge more per night up front instead of surprising their guests upon check-in? The $15 valet parking fee when their virtually empty parking lot was eight steps away was also excessive for the area. One useful bit of information: We asked if we could pay for an extra cot so that our daughter could stay in the room. The front desk told us that they were unable to provide a cot because the rooms were too small and that it was a fire hazard. They suggested that we purchase another room for her. All that said, the hotel is lovely if they'd just work out some small details.

This modern hotel sits right by the beach and is in walking distance to restaurants and bars. The rooms are nice and comfortable, with excellent slick bathrooms. I have a few criticisms, however. They charge a resort fee of 25 USD, although not a hidden charge, it seems not optional and should thus be added to the room price. What you get for this compared to other hotels offering similar services is less clear (apart from free soft drinks and a few snacks). Second, I found the valet parking at 15 USD inconvenient and unnecessary since the car park is right by the entrance and I don't want to wait for my keys and someone to drive up if my car is parked 5m away. Finally, what designer is responsible for the elevator mess? You take one lift up to the first floor then have to lug your luggage some 20m to another set of elevators.
Overall, staff was very professional and friendly.

Really great boutique hotel with some surprising amenities like a docent who will iron for you, free WiFi, and all snacks/drinks in the mini-bar included in the small resort fee. Would definitely stay here again. One note: if you want to spend a lot of time at the pool, this may not be the place for you. It is small and crowded. But the ocean is only steps away!

Room Tip: This is not a hotel with balconies (or very few).

One Ocean Resort was fabulous! My husband and I stayed a couple nights on business/pleasure. When you walk into the hotel the decor is absolutly beautiful wiith a contemporary fountain surrounded by modern but comfortable furniture. The beautiful decor continued up a grand staircase and to our room. The bedding and matress was exceptionally comfortable. All ther furnishings appear of a high quality. The bath area is on the small side with no bathtub but it did have a double headed shower. The were so many bath towels I could not count them. Too few towels are a hotel pet peeve of mine.

The resort sits on the beach with easy access to a great place to walk. We utilized the spa for a massage and were very pleased. The staff encouraged us to sit in comfortable loungers and look at the beach where the waves rolled on to the shore. We were treated to wine prior to our massage. Upon completion we were encouraged to relax in the area once we finished our massages. Not once did we feel like we were hurried to begin or end our visit.

The only problem we encountered was a broken air conditioning unit. After a couple attempts to fix the unit the the staff moved our belongings to another room. The front desk employees were very friendly and equally apologetic for the air conditioning inconvenience.

The resort is beautiful, modern, and staffed with warm and welcoming employees. It is the little things that made our visit. From the sound machine which was tuned to ocean waves which greet you upon entry to the room... to the lighted candles which lined the stair case each evening. Though you were surronded in luxury there was a sense of home away from home.

My husband and I will absolutly return to this resort.
