A great place to canoe, hike, bike, picnic or just enjoy the Florida wildlife. On a recent afternoon trip we saw wild turkeys, deer, Sherman squirrels and many turtles.

A nice surprise - our Chihuahua got a dog biscuit from the park ranger.

Great place to visit for a relaxing, and inexpensive day. Pack a picnic, or bring food to cook on one of the many grills. (Need charcoal!) Swim, walk, rent a canoe...Don't worry about the Gators, springs are too cold for their comfort, constant mid 70's. Blanket to spread out on the grass for a nap? Gets crowded on the summer holidays!! Arrive early or avoid.

Have visited on several occasions. The Springs are an ideal escape from the hustle bustle of Orlando with its endless crowds.
Bathe in the crystal clear clean waters. Hire a kayak or canoe and travel through breathtaking scenery along the waterways with amazing wildlife, turtles, birds....
Hike the many trails, take picnic or grill lunch. There is so much to do.
Ideal for kids, fantastic day out.

It is a very beautiful park. You can swim in the springs or hike in very intersting trails. They are very well marked and you can follow how habitats change walking on them.

We got a State Park Annual Pass just so we could go to Wekiva as often as we like. We go Nordic Walking on the miles and miles of well-marked trails, swim in the large crystal-clear spring, and canoe down the river and back. Abundant wildlife - deer and turkey in the woods, birds, fish and turtles in and along the river.
