“Finally found a great salad!!”
Reviewed April 15, 2011

The grill is just that -- a hometown grill with good portions and a friendly atmosphere BUT it was the first restaurant (sorry That Place Off 98) that I finally had a memorable salad. I ordered the greek and it was served as it should be with a dollop of potato salad (although it was on the side and really should be on the bottom of the salad). The dressing was great and our waitress was experienced and attentive. My husband enjoyed his grouper but he always has here.

“Best Shrimp and Service EVER!”
Reviewed April 9, 2011

We have been dining at this restaurant multiple times each year on our annual trip to St. George Island. Every time we go, we try another restaurant only to be disappointed because it does not compare to the quality of the food at the Grill. It is pricey for large families. We average $65 each visit, but it is so worth it because we know that the wait staff, particularly Amy and Wendy, will never let our drinks run dry and will get our food to us ASAP. They also have outdoor dining, which is great with pets. The tea is great. Never had a bad bite of food here. Have traveled to many coasts in the South, including New Orleans and no other compares to the tender crispy fried shrimp here. HIGHLY recommend!

“Semi-seafood”
Reviewed March 31, 2011

Stopped in and tried a couple of meals. It was definitely not fresh seafood, but o.k. Service was fine, but in this area I expected very fresh seafood.

“Down home cooking.”
Reviewed March 11, 2011

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Apalach. This homey little place is always busy because the food is great. The fried shrimp and fish are tender and the coating is light and crunchy. But for the most part we go there for the atmosphere. It is one of those small town restaurants that you can't help but love. Hope you get the waitress with the wonderful southern accent. She is a peach, but our service has always been great. Not fancy just good service and good food.
