We have been coming to Tamara's each year for number of years since it first opened in downtown Apalachicola and this year was no exception. The food is consistently tasty with a nice variety of Chef's specials, a nice wine list and good craft beers. Some of the dishes have a Caribbean feel to them, but not all of them and it is easy for everyone in our family to find something they like. It does feel like the prices have gone up over the years, to the extent that I our bill for 3 adults and 2 teens was surprisingly high this year, but we did order an appetizer and some desserts, as well as wine, so the amount was at least partially justified. And, we love the art and the exposed brick--we feel like Tamara's truly captures the electric and quaint feel of downtown Apalach, so we will continue make it one of our nights out when we visit SGI! We definitely recommend!

We came on a Friday evening. Hubby had Paella and I had Pecan-crusted Grouper with rice and beans. Our food was really really good. My wine, Sav Blanc from New Zealand, was fantastic. The service was just okay. Slow, somewhat uncaring attitude. Some confusion and inefficiency happening around the restaurant as it got busy. We were never asked if we wanted another drink. Waited a long time for our server, and the check. If this part had been better, I would have given 5 stars. However, I definitely would return, for the food.

Discovered this place serendipitously en route to Cape San Blas. We sat on the porch with our dog and our waitress brought out a bowl of cold water for our dog soon after we sat down. We had a fantastic light fare lunch--we ordered fried oyster salad, fried green tomatoes, and a piece of key lime pie. Each dish were meticulously prepared and they were fantastic. We will remember this restaurant for a long time for their fantastic food in a quaint, charming city of Apalachicola.
