“Authentic”
Reviewed March 5, 2013

I was hesitant about dining here, but glad I did. Sometimes the small places make the best food. Do stop by and enjoy a meal.

“Good break from seafood”
Reviewed February 13, 2013 via mobile

Good food. Prompt and delicious. Had a wait a bit for our check because our server was on break, but otherwise great experience.

“authentico mexicano”
Reviewed January 18, 2013

If you are tired of fried oysters hit this small Mexican restaurant. I had driven by several times and noticed there were always local Hispanic workers there which is what drew us in. Half mini market for hard to get Mexican and central American specialties the rest of the space is devoted to a dozen tables or so. The excellent food is cranked out of a small kitchen by a chef from Guatemala. Their homemade tortillas and chips are worth buying for takeout, which we did. My wife had carnitas in a green chile sauce which was perfectly cooked, tender, and reflected the central American background of the chef nicely. I had the Carne asada which was equally well seasoned and grilled. We stopped in several other times for lunch and were always pleased. The only drawback is no beer, so you'll have to stop in at the CVS across the street and Byob. Don't let that deter you.
