“New location”
Reviewed July 14, 2013 via mobile

We have been coming to Apalachicola Chocolate Company for four years now. Their chocolates and gelato are wonderful.
They have a new location on the main road in Apalachicola. There is also a cookie and coffee shop inside. The cookies are expensive. It looked like it was two businesses in one building because we had to pay for the cookies separate from the gelato and chocolates. When my daughter asked about it, she did not get a real answer to her question. They only accept cash. The gelato and chocolates are a MUST!

“Pricey but Yummy”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

Kids loved the gelato and they had so many choices and unique flavors. I particularly liked the peach. My daughter thought the peanut butter and chocolare fudge was terrific. She made me go back a second day for more. Certainly worth a stop, but it's not cheap.

“Yum Yum”

This is the kind of place where you walk by, decide to go in for a treat on a nice day, and can't believe your good fortune at having found it. This is what happened to us..we saw the sign advertising gelato, and had to go in. Just standing in line was an adventure as the proprietor joked and charmed his customers while dishing out the gelato. "Careful of the waffle cone, just fresh baked!" he warned. He was right; it was warm and delicious. Many flavors of gelato to choose from and then all those gorgeous truffles and chocolates. We were not buying but we took our time admiring all the treats. The gelato is not as good as the stuff you get in Italy but was as good as any I've had on this side of this ocean. There was a little art gallery and studio attached...fun to browse on a lazy afternoon.

“You with a sweet tooth take note!”
Reviewed February 1, 2013 via mobile

On a walk after lunch we happened upon this chocolate shop. Not missing an opportunity to indulge in a special chocolate treat, my wife ushered me inside. The owner greeted us and took us on a tour of his wares. Caving, we sampled, and were not disappointed. Try the nuts in a caramel made from local Tupelo honey, hand-dipped in dark chocolate.

“average chocolates, good gelato, great artwork”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

First, not sure why trip advisor doesn't realize "chocolate" is misspelled???? Chocolates we tried were average, maybe because it was off season, turnover is not as quick and weren't very fresh, but not sure if it was that or just the recipes. The gelato was good. This is the only place we can find that doesn't just scoop store bought ice cream. Recommend the gelato, not the chocolates. Keep in mind, cash only. There is also a make shift art gallery that has some really great artwork with reasonably priced prints that are worth stopping in to see.
