I've eaten here quite a few times in the past year but the most memorable was when college chums came to visit. This was back in late February and the weather was great. We lunched on clams, shrimp and dozens of fresh oysters!
Order at the counter and when ready the server will find you. Either inside or on the deck overlooking the Apalachicola river.
Great place for me as the restaurant is a short walk from the houseboat where I reside.

This is a great spot for a cold beer and an appetizer. We didn't try any of the full entres or the salad bar. Sat at the bar and was served by Tabitha, who was very friendly and efficient. Enjoyed the crab cakes and the "seagull" wings. Everyone was sooooo friendly. Great view.

You must try Up The Creek. Promise it is WELL WORTH the trip. We have eaten at four other local restaurants that were excellent and some just good. The thing we enjoyed at Up The Creek besides our food was the view and the extremely casual atmosphere. The lobster and crab bisque is absolutely amazing !!! Get the bowl instead if cup. You will be sorry if you don't. Comes with fresh bread for dipping or tear it up and throw it in the bisque. The other amazing dish we enjoyed so much was the Southern Style Fresh Oysters!! Wow! Oysters with a mixture of collard greens, bacon, and Parmesan cheese piled on top and baked. A true delight. We truly recommend.

The view of the river is excellent. The bartender was super, but the food average and the salad bar below average. If you are going for a drink on the deck, you can't go wrong, but skip the meal.

Went here with family and hoped it was as good as reviews. It wasn't. Food was good but not up to what we expected. I had the amberjack entre' special. It was very average, seasoned well but not cooked well. Wife tried amberjack with fried green beans. Pretty blasé. Others in our party were disappointed, especially with the prices for average food.
