Was told by associates to avoid this place, but I had to try it... the outside architecture is Japanese and certainly sets the stage for a "supposedly Japanese experience". NOT.
Food is really mediocre at best and had it not been for the table chef's little culinary-show, I would have raised holy hell about the quality of the food. The atmosphere attempts to convey a Japanese setting, but with no real success. Don't even think about eating here unless you have tourist coupons, which are only good for a few hours each day. Floor of bathroom looks like the floor in the Greyhound bus station. Two hub caps from our rental car were stolen in the parking lot - no secure parking. Manager seemed sympathetic to my complaints about the food quality, but couldn't do anything. There is more than one Kobe - maybe one of the others fair better than this one.
