“Beautiful walk!”

Lake Lotus Nature Park
Reviewed October 19, 2013

This is what Florida is all about! Beautiful trees, nice boardwalk around Lotus lake that has a lot of water fowl, turtles, fish and interesting plantings. The weather is perfect this time of year, what more could one ask for! The walk is under 2 miles, mostly under the tree canopy just perfect!

I really like the nature trail/boardwalk at this park. Just steps from busy Hwy 414, this park allows you to stop and slow down! Walking on the boardwalk above the lake, you are able to see many species of birds and maybe even an alligator! Nice picnic facilities - fishing too (need a license).

This is a really great park to visit. It literally sits in the middle of a busy city and lots of commercial buildings. If your worked in the Maitland Office park I would suggest taking your lunch here and walking and enjoying this magnificent nature park that has a lake, boardwalk, picnic tables and trails. Don't pass this up it is way to convenient to use every day.

Lake Lotus nature park is a very quiet and secluded park in Altamonte Springs. Park your car and ride a tram into the park. It has a boardwalk that takes you through different ecosystems. The park also has a small playground and 2 pavillions with picnic tables. The boardwalk along the lake offers fishing (license required) and a observation building overlooking the lake. Put on your walking shoes and grab your camera, be prepared to spend a couple of hours and enjoy Floridas nature!
