Anyone not recognizing the Mountain Chalet for the incredible value that it is needs to get their head examined. No, it's not the Ritz Carlton but that is not *real* skiers are looking for. The Mountain Chalet has nice rooms, at a great price, in an incredible location. Covered, secure parking? Check. Free hot breakfast? Check. Sauna, steam, heated outdoor pool? Check, check check.

We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. In fact, as long as the Mountain Chalet stays the same, I'll never stay anywhere else while in Aspen.

I find I get the most bang for my buck! Great service, met many friend's and a view to die for! Great breakfast, secure parking...the list goes on! Stores, The John Denver Sanctuary, The Rio Grande Trail and high quality restaurants are within walking distance. Never a dull moment!

Room Tip: Make early reservations

This place is awesome. Old school on steroids. Everything is totally functional and you feel like you're in a real ski chalet. Insane location, rooms fine, tv better than a lot of five star hotels, beds comfy, breakfast fun, hot tub hot -- this place is a gem

This is our fourth year staying at the family owned and run Mountain Chalet in Aspen. If you plan to ski all day while you're in Aspen and don't want to be bothered with renting a car then this is the place for you. It is conveniently located to Ruby Park transit where you can hop on a bus to any of the three ski mountains or walk to Aspen Mountain (a/k/a Ajax). The place is not fancy like the neighboring St. Regis but it offers clean rooms and hot breakfast in the morning at a fraction of the price.

We loved the Mountain Chalet-they were incredibly flexible and made our day special. Their caterer was amazing and after cooking our reception meal, went to Lance Armstrong's house to cook for a dinner party for him. A great homemade breakfast is served each morning for guests that stay at the Chalet. Adrien in events is fantastic, very down to earth, easy to work-with and makes your day stress free. They do not charge extra for linens or china and they are dog friendly!

Room Tip: The apartments are great!
