Checking into the Limelight was super enjoyable, as the desk workers there answered all our questions and even answered our questions about the Aspen area as the concierge was on break. One of the best "continental" breakfasts you will ever have. All sorts of fruit, fresh pastries, french toast and coldcuts. Had something different everyday. The room was great with everything you would need, including wine glasses, plates and silverware for our snacks. The bar was fun with live entertainment and a great selection of craft brews. Will stay here again when we roll into Aspen the next time. Don't miss the Maroon Bells trail!!!

The Limelight is in a great central location in the core of "downtown" Aspen. It is clean and the staff is very polite and helpful. Although it is "pet friendly," it is sensitive to others as there are "pet free" rooms and they do not allow pets in the lounge area when food is being served. The rooms are large, with a mini kitchenette and plenty of closet storage space. The pool area is lovely. The complimentary breakfast was itself worth the price of admission, so to speak, as it is vast and fresh. Dinner choices in the lounge are not as appealing in quality or price/value. The hotel offers free live music on weekend nights, although strangely and surprisingly they do not help the band by presenting the band's name on the "event" board by the concierge's desk nor in the lounge area where the bands perform. The hotel also does not publicize the live music -- if it did, they could attract more people to the lounge which would not only be profitable but also would attract interest and potentially future guests. Often, the bands ended up playing for families with loud and noisy children in the early half of the evening which was awkward. Lounge seating is messy and could be organized in a more convivial manner. The rooftop terraces have wonderful views but seemed to be frequently reserved for private parties which was disappointing.

Hi islands4321

Thanks for sharing your thoughts about your recent stay. That’s a great idea about including the band name on our activity board. We’ll get on it. We did have a busy stretch in June around the annual Food & Wine Festival and our patios saw heavy use as they offer some of the best views in Aspen. We try to keep them open to our guests whenever possible. Thanks again for staying with us and come back some time to check out our new summer dinner menu in the lounge. We have added some great new items.

Our entire experience at Limelight was very good. The property seems to have a good handle on what it wants to be and executes its vision very well. Calling the breakfast "continental" really doesn't do it justice. We though it was very good.

this is our 2nd time staying here and it didn't disappoint. We had a rm. on the 3rd floor w/a view of the mts. The room size is large. The hotel is pet friendly which is what brought us here in the first place. The included breakfast in the lounge is yummy. the hotel is very service oriented. And they provide free transportation to local spots upon request. Excellent location when visiting Aspen.

Two of my friends and I came here on a girls' trip last fall and had a great experience. It was a quiet time of year, so things were pretty peaceful. We had a top-level room with a balcony and a fireplace; it was much more spacious than I was expecting. The breakfast was a step above your typical continental.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the top floor, facing the park.

Great hotel. Really easy to miss the front door as it's in the middle of the street and really doesn't look like a hotel. Great pool area. Bar too. Ask for a room on the 4th floor that has the outside rooftop lounge area. Bed comfortable. Great bathroom amenities. Very clean and modern but not overly hipster either. Great views of the slopes and downtown Aspen. Would definitely return.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms on the 4th floor that have the outside entertaining area

Travelled through Colorado recently and our plans had to be changed due to unseasonal snow falls. Had two nights booked at the Limelite and unfortunately could not get through to book in on the first night because of the snowy condition and a major delay on I70 due to a truck accident.

Arrived at Aspen a day late due to the above and you guessed it, it was snowing again. Booked in at Limelite, went our room and pulled back the curtains to see a magnificent snow covered mountain, ski slopes, falling snow. Didn't plan on this but not grizzling either. It was great.

The room at Limelite was spacious and well appointed as was the bathroom. Nice gas log fire to keep us warm and good comfortable bed. Room was very clean and décor maintained.

The staff were very good - from the reception staff to the restaurant all very courteous and helpful. Very thankful to the Manager who assisted us in arriving at a good outcome for us due to the unused night previously booked. Thankyou.

Hope to get back to the USA again soon and would like to catch up on some of the activities we had planned that were "snowed" out and will definitely book again at the Limelite. 5 star from top to bottom.

Room Tip: Rooms close to the ice machine may get a bit of noise. Our room was away from that. Higher rooms wi...

Hi David P,

Thank you for the kind words. We are happy you were able to make it here despite the crazy Colorado weather. Please come back anytime to enjoy the activities you missed out on, or pay us a visit this winter when snow is a good thing. I'll join you for First Tracks on Aspen Mountain.
