“Warm & Friendly Staff, Terrific Overall”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

I cannot say enough great things about the Limelight Hotel. We made our reservation on Hotels.com after getting a very reasonable rate and booked a 6-night stay for Spring Break with our two kids, ages 10 and 8. Our room was spacious and well appointed (2 queens with plenty of room for a single cot as well), and the staff consistently went out of their way to help us feel at home. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious, and the entire vibe of the lobby/bar/restaurant was wonderful, stocked with games galore for kids and adults alike (chess, monopoly, scrabble, etc.). The two jacuzzis and swimming pools were a welcoming place to relax after a day on the slopes. The ski concierge provided a great service, storing our skis and boots each day, and dropping us off/picking up wherever we needed to go, including airport transfers. Our son made an unexpected visit to the local hospital after a fall on the mountain, and after he was released and we called the hotel, even though all the drivers were busy, the Operations Manager, Susan, was kind enough to jump in her own car and pick us up. That's the kind of place the Limelight is: they really do go above and beyond. We will definitely recommend the Limelight to all our friends. Truly a fantastic place to stay. Thanks to all the staff who took care of us!

From the moment we were picked up from the airport the service was fantastic. Our family of 4 shared a 2 queen terraced room which was spacious and had plenty of storage for all our clothes. Breakfast was healthy and had a good variety. We were only disappointed that we did not bring our swimming gear as the hot tubs after a hard days skiing looked very inviting and was very popular. The bar, lounge area was great too. However, smaller snacks with bar drinks would be better rather than having to order a large plate of antipasti or a pizza. Serving sizes were perfect for dinner which we had twice during our stay. Wine and beer selection was very good too. The staff were fantastic, helpful, knowledgeable and professional with a smile. We felt part of the Aspen community almost immediately. Transport service which was on a first come, first serve basis was very well organised. We are already planning our return trip.

Room Tip: Don't forget your swimming gear - hot tub very inviting.

Loved our stay there. Rooms aren't super fancy, but excellent service and fantastic scene in lobby more than makes up for it. Gray free breakfast. Nice pool and hot tub. Much improved since Skico took over. Somewhat of a value in Aspen (if that is possible!)

There are so many expensive places to stay it's nice to find one that's reasonable. Great for kids/families or even if you're single or couple and want to stay in town close to everything. Staff was very friendly and accomodating, DOGS allowed. Pool, hot tubs, fitness room, rooms, bar and lounge area are great. The best part is you can walk everywhere from here, get to all the bars restaurants and shopping you need. Definitely a great choice for a stay in Aspen.

Really nice place to stay in Aspen. Great service, neat personel, easy access from the garage, very clean. Really nice restaurant and bar with good food. The only thing that it would make it even better is that breakfast would be more 'European' ;)

I stayed here because of the reviews on TripAdvisor. I will stay at The Limelight again because it really was the best place I've stayed in Aspen. I have stayed in several of the nicer hotels and condos but this was by far the best value and most pleasant experience. The rooms are large and clean. The lobby has comfortable seating and a nice fireplace. There is a nice continental breakfast with good selections for every kind of eater. The location is very good also. I can't say enough nice things about the staff. They were courteous, helpful, and welcoming at all times. I highly recommend The Limelight!

We just loved this contemporary casual place with huge windows in the downstairs lounge. The lounge area is huge and family friendly. I saw all ages hanging out but not getting in each others way. A big fireplace with couches as well as dining tables, a bar area, and ALSO a music and entertainment space. Nice views in the daytime from the huge 2 story windows. The casual food and drink are also just wonderful and tasty. My favorite was the gourmet the crust pizzas, especially the one with kale- who knew that would be a fav?! Great beer selections. This is obviously a locals and vacationers hotel and community hub. Currently if you stay 3 or more nights you get free lift tickets- awesome!
