Everything perfect, good service; clean big rooms. Hot tub in balcony is just awesome. Location is 5 mins walk from mail shopping area.

We stayed at Hotel Aspen from December 19-23, 2011. The hotel rooms were comfortable and affordable. The hotel is conveniently located on the bus lines to all the slopes and a few minutes walking to downtown Aspen. The hotel served hot and cold foods for both breakfast and apress and beer & wine during apres ski hours. The hot tub next to the pool was excellent after a day of sking. We would definitely stay again the next time we're in Aspen.

If you're looking for a well-located pet-friendly hotel that doesn't charge a fortune in Aspen - look no further. The Hotel Aspen is a few blocks from all the action . We were pleasantly surprised to find a lovely pool area with a nice clean hot tub. Apres ski spread was nice with hot wings, a variety of cheeses and free beer and wine. Breakfast was hot and varied - everything from pastries to eggs, sausage and potatoes. The view of the ski slopes from the Breakfast room was awesome! Our room was modern and crisply clean and the helpful service was much appreciated.
Our pup's "needs" were fulfilled by a nice park across the street - complete with doggy clean up bags (thanks to the City of Aspen for that!) and the Rio Grande Trail was a short walk from the property.
We'll definitely keep the Hotel Aspen on our "favorites" and look forward to returning next summer.

Room Tip: There's no elevator to the 2nd floor so keep that in mind if you are travelling with a pet that...

We booked our room about 21 days before our arrival in Aspen. Upon arrival, the receptionist could not find our reservation "anywhere", and told us they were booked. When I produced the email confirmation (had already given name, confirmation number, etc), she finally "found" our reservation.
We were quite satisfied with our room and the pool and hot tub. The complimentary breakfast and apres ski were convenient but mediocre. Service was efficient, but not friendly. We loved being close enough to walk to everything in town, including trailheads.
The only bad part about our stay was that we left a valuable piece of jewelry in the room which disappeared, and the staff "never found it".

I appreciate your time in leaving us your feedback and am pleased that you found the hotel conveniently located and the rooms met your high expectations. I do apologize that we had difficulty retrieving your reservation, our booking system inadverdently placed your traveling companion's name onto your reservation instead of yours. We are working to correct this error. You also mention missing a personal item - I assure you that we will make every effort to return this item to you if found. We have many guests who misplace items and we accurately track and log every found item for 60 days, however the vast majority of the time the guest usually finds the misplaced item upon their return home. I would be pleased to work with you personally to help identify and return any item that you feel you may have left behind.
