“Didn't Live up to Hype”
Reviewed February 20, 2008

Our family was referred there by several locals as the best pizza in Aspen. Well if this is the best, then they have some really bad pizza in Aspen. Over $60 and barely enough Pizza for 3 much less for a family of 4. Save your money and order in.

“Very Disappointing”
Reviewed February 18, 2008

Our family of four went to Bruno's for dinner during President's weekend which explains the crowds, but not the service. We were told the wait would be 15 to 20 minutes. After 40 minutes we checked with one of the waitstaff and was told it would be 40 more minutes. We then checked with one of the owners who was working as the hostess (with her baby on her hip) and she said," I think you have been spoken to about that." We tried to explain how long we had been there, but she had far too much on her plate at that point to deal with our family's problems. We continued to wait since there were waits all over town and we felt invested at that time. We watched as other people were seated ahead of us that came in after us and felt that we must not have been important enough to be seated in order. Not sure what the problem was. We do know that as much as we go to Aspen, we will NEVER darken their door again. And we have a tremendous ripple effect among our friends that frequent Aspen. The food wasn't bad, but the service from our waitress was nonexistent. I grew up in Aspen and this experience felt personal.

“Typical italian pizza, very friendly and helpful service”
Reviewed January 5, 2008

The pizza is typical italian style with a thin and crispy crust. The service is casual but very helpful, friendly and prompt. The place is - as most others - quite packed at the usual dinner time at 7 pm. So avoid this time :-). If you want to have a real italian espresso in Aspen - take it here!

“fantastic both times!”
Reviewed December 3, 2007

We did this restaurant for lunch twice on our recent Aspen trip = partially because there are not many off-slop places open for lunch and partially because we really liked this place! It has true rustic ambiance (is it Colorado or somewhere in Europe?) and warm with a friendly and competent staff and clean nice restroom. Our son (6) got to make his own pizza which was a big hit! Try the calzones - they are TDF!!! Anyway, I could eat there every day and not be disappointed in the food, Nice salad choice, pastas, pizzas, etc. Not much appetizers. great huge brownie dessert. LOVED IT!

“A bit hidden, but tasty”
Reviewed October 21, 2007

We too, stumbled upon this despite central location. We found the food to be of gourmet pizza place type. Another review may have expected a more huge, but sloppily mundane pie. We preferred the unexpectedly tasty fare.
