“Complete Gem! Chicken Meatballs......Unreal!”
Reviewed July 27, 2014

It's small, it's quaint....reading the menu is not going to WOW you. Waited about 30 minutes. Eating the menu will WOW you. In short, it was my first time in Aspen. All of my buddies are like we are going to The White House Tavern. The chicken meatballs.....out of this world. Living in NYC for a long time, I have eaten a bunch of meatballs. These were some of the best ever. Entree....because everyone said I had to, I had the Crispy Chicken Sandwich. Just unreal. Great drinks....really fun atmosphere. Must stop. There is in or outdoor seating...go there, you'll figure it all out and understand why!

“A good light meal”
Reviewed July 26, 2014

We had just arrived in Aspen on a Sunday afternoon and were looking for a casual place for a light meal.. Wedidn't know anything about the White House, but assumed it was good because it was very busy. the food was good and very generous. We later learned it is one of the most popular reasaurants in Aspen.

“Good food as promised”
Reviewed July 25, 2014 via mobile

A group of six had a great dinner here. Each couple split either a chicken sandwich or burger. Excellent. The surprise hit was the queso which was the consistency of pimento cheese--had mayonnaise and peppers and was spectacular. Would recommend this place to anyone. We did wait about an hour for a table on a Tuesday but it was worth it.

“Won't be back”
Reviewed July 23, 2014 via mobile

No doubt that this place is popular. We waited 30 minutes for a table to eat lunch at 2 pm. It is surrounded by restaurants with lots of empty tables. We split a chicken sandwich and fries as recommended by the reviews here. Both were excellent as was the service. Com'on man, $30 with one ice tea and one water! I could eat at Chick-fil-a every day for a week at that price. Had to pay to park too. We were crowded into a very small table in close proximity to other tables. There is no place to sit while you wait for your table. Aspen is hot in the summer too.

“The French Dip”
Reviewed July 21, 2014

I chose to eat at The White House Tavern based on its high ranking on the trip advisor website and I wasn't disappointed. As others have mentioned, the menu is surprisingly limited; however, the choices are diverse. I ordered the French Dip along with an order of the house fries and both items were created at their optimal excellence. Even better than the food was the service. It was EXCELLENT - Top Notch. I would highly recommend making this a stop when visiting swanky Aspen.
