Prospect is in a secluded garden area next to the Hotel Jerome. We had a wonderful summer evening. The table was right, the service was professional. Good wine list. We were allowed to adjust menu items with no discussion. Lobster Cobb salad is very nice. Looking to be out of the main steam of Aspen walking mall...this is it.

My family and I ate here for lunch on the outside terrace and were very impressed. Our waitress, Chesley, was from Aspen and could not have been more personable and helpful. Some of us had sandwiches while others had the incredible lunch special that was an amazing Asian style salad. After being so impressed by lunch, my husband, daughter and I decided to have dinner in the Prospect as well. It seemed as thought every staff member was dedicated to our service; from the hostess to the manager...they were dedicated to our experience.. We ordered wines by the glass, but the sommelier was happy to explain each wine in detail. Our foreign waiter was EXCELLENT. He was so knowledgeable about everything on the menu and made dining at Prospect a very pleasant experience. Our only complaint was that our water glasses weren't filled very often. I would absolutely recommend eating here....you won't be disappointed.

On a hot Aspen day eating outside at the Hotel Jerome is a nice treat for a special occasion. We decided on a late lunch at the Prospect (outside in the courtyard) for our anniversary. The place was nearly empty late in the afternoon on a Saturday - except for a large (with a very unhappy baby and kids) family group that was finishing lunch and (we thought) on their way out. After we had ordered food and a very expensive bottle of wine (too late to leave now!) we had what was supposed to be a special lunch ruined by the Jerome staff converting the small adjacent lawn area into a child's playground - bringing out a noisy bean bag game and checkered blanket for the aforementioned kids - while their parents (who had long since finished their meal) sat and chatted.

You expect noise from the adjacent pool area when you eat outside at the Jerome - but not a pop-up playground next to your table. There are plenty of playgrounds/water features/open spaces in Aspen. I'd suggest that we don't need another one here - at Hotel Jerome prices!!! Be warned before you buy in to this lovely outdoor setting!

On a positive note - the wine and food were excellent (and overpriced - but that was expected going in).

The service at The Prospect was amazing. The brunch menu was perfect and the Latte's & freshly squeezed orange juice were delicious! A great place to enjoy brunch Sunday!!!

My husband and I ate here because of a recommendation from the concierge at our hotel, and we could not have been more pleased! Even though it was late, we were able to request to sit outside. It was slightly chilly so the hostess immediately offered to start a standing heater for us, which was greatly appreciated. The wine list is impressive, but extensive, so they had a great som (Crystal?) that was very helpful in picking out a beautiful, and price conscious, Cab. We had a few appetizers and two amazing main courses. The local trout was incredible and lobster cob salad was to die for. What really put the food over the top was the dessert. It was a simply cookie in a "skillet" with homemade ice cream. The service was impeccable and the food lived up to the prestige of the Hotel Jerome. We were able to finish the night with a drink in the hotel's lounge that was very cozy and had live guitar music. Overall, it was the best night we had in Aspen! Can't wait to come back!
