Lots of hype for this restaurant with numerous celebrity sightings during festivals and ski season and we had heard great things about the food that many had said had a bit of panache and flair. The food was very ordinary for French cuisine with nothing that separates it. We both ordered the Rotisserrie Chicken and when it arrived it as well as the Frites were just barely above room temperature (though the plate was hot). The waiter apologized and disappearred into the back only to reappear 2 minutes later with a steaming piece of chicken (the same chicken I had already cut into. Microwave? Seriously!?!?
Perhaps I would have given a better rating had I not heard the hype beforehand, but the restaurant seems to really promote that same hype and is not modest about using celebrity sightings as proof of its great cuisine (I'm not sure what one has to do with the other). I think the little French restaurant needs to recognize itself as not as great a choice as many other true great food choices in the Aspen area.
