This place is always spot on with delicious fresh sashimi and sushi, fabulous rolls and unusually delicious specials each night. The cooked menu items are outstanding as well. The service is superior to other places in town and so is the food, which is why Kenichi has been a staple for so long while others come and go.

We had to get up from the table to find our waitress to order (there was only 1 server for the entire restaurant during a very busy happy hour) and when the food did come, the runner refused to explain it, even after we asked. This resulted in only half of the table eating, since that's where they set down all the food. After an hour or so, we asked to see the manager since we still hadn't eaten. She told us, verbatim, that it was our fault that we didn't know which sushi rolls were ours, and she would not remake them or take them off our bill for us. Needless to say, we will never be going back as there are 3 other fabulous sushi restaurants to choose from in Aspen.

I was having some trouble deciding what to order off their delicious menu. Instead of choosing myself, I asked for "something wonderful" from the sushi chef. What arrived at my table were two of the largest crab claws I have ever seen, seasoned, sauced and torched to perfection. It was heavenly. Kenichi is a "must visit" if you are ever in Aspen.
