“happening place”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

happy hour is best value. good bar area but high prices. their seafood is always good.It is one of the few places that serves good oysters.. servers and bartenders always a bit aloof-hey it's Aspen. It is ironic because the best, friendliest restaurant service we have had was in France this summer. The French have a bad reputation for haughtiness, but we were treated with sincere graciousness even at the pricey places.

“Good to a cost”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

For a seafood restaurant in middle of the mountains it is good. Most of us had smaller items because was not that hungry but the price did not match the size. Shrimp scampi was good, little to oily but good and maybe 8-10 shrimp. Tuna tar tar was maybe 5 table spoons worth on the plate. Was good but again not worth the cost. and the cheeseburger one of us had was a nice size good looking burger, but for $24??

The seating was tight on the porch. had to squeeze between two tables and work my way around to get to my seat. not a really good place to bring kids, but we did see them there. Overall just not worth it for us we would not go back, but others might like the more "refined" style of here.

“Excellent Seafood Bouillabaisse was Cold”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

We had dinner here while spending the 4th of July holiday in Aspen.

The starter sizzling prawns were exceptional and cooked to perfection. The Calamari Bolognese with squid ink noodles were excellent and beautifully presented. The Bouillabaisse ($42.00) was also loaded with fish and very filling, however, it was cold which was disappointing. I would have sent it back, but the other couple picked this restaurant and I was meeting them for the first time.

The place was busy and the server friendly.

“Pretty good”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

While the hostess is often snobby, the food is pretty good and the location is great for people watching.

They have a burger with a fried egg which is nice.

My wife likes their salmon.

Its not 5 star, but its pretty solid - if you can get by the hostess.

The manager lady is actually very nice.

“Start to finish...done right”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

After about the 10th visit...thought I should contribute to the reviews of Pacifica in Aspen. From the handcrafted cocktails (thanks KT and Casey ) to the seafood platter appetizer, jumbo shrimp cocktails and entrees( especially love your risottos ) everything is done right. Service is great whether sitting at tables or the bar where we prefer. Fun to watch the mixology and catch up on ski slope stories du jour from other patrons. Chef has high standards here and i see him carefully peeking in on operations throughout the night. Would highly reccomend to Aspen visitors to spend the money and enjoy one night dining at Pacifica.
