Description: Since 1997, Jimmy's has been Aspen's neighborhood restaurant and bar, the kind of comfortable restaurant where you can dine again and again. Ask any local, and you will hear that Jimmy's is an "Aspen Institution." The menu has something for everyone, from the fresh-squeezed margaritas and the "locally-priced" bar menu to the famous crab cakes, USDA prime steaks, and fresh fish. "The menu is designed to feature the finest in American cuisine without being pretentious, served in an energetic atmosphere," says proprietor (and local) Jimmy Yeager. The energy at Jimmy's is what really draws a crowd; the bar is nearly always jam-packed and the dining room lively with activity and a mix of interesting people. The welcoming staff provide the best in top-notch hospitality. Jimmy's is "home" for a large community of locals and tourists alike.

We visited Jimmy's 9 years ago, on a previous trip to Aspen, and remebered its fabulous Meatloaf entree. So, when we just visited Aspen again last week, for my husband's birthday, decided to have his B-day dinner there. Our memory did not dissapoint, as we had a great meal, excellent drinks, and impecable, very fast service (by Paul, our server) despite the very busy evening there and the place being pack with customers. Their entrees, including the Meatloaf, were very generous, beautifully displayed, and of course, delicious. We had a great dining experience and my husband loved his B-day dinner's choice of place. We'll be back next time we visit Aspen !!!

Food top notch - the guys will love it. Hamburgers, crab cakes and lots more. Jimmy's Margareta my all time favorite - smooth!

Seated quickly in a nearly empty restaurant. No kids menu available. You have to ask for kids menu choices that are not on the menu. Attentive service that started off great but quickly deteriorated into nothing. We ordered chicken and Shell steak. The chicken was good. Served with grilled veg. The steak ordered med rare came out tasteless and rare. Waiters were busy texting or checking their phone to help us. Finally had to ask for my plate to be cleared after 15 min.

The bar at Jimmy's is the place to be on any night of the week. It's gets crazy busy but the buzz in the room and the tequila/mescal selection is outstanding. Food is very good, but selection are fairly basic. Still, overall, the place to be. And, whatever you do, don't miss Salsa night in the restaurant!!!

Thanks for the review, we're so glad you enjoy our bar and dancing night! The tequila and mezcal selection is one of our specialties, and we hope that you'll be back again soon to try more! Thanks, Jimmy.

We ate outside on the deck facing the street on a nice summer evening (the restaurant is on the 2nd floor). The ribeye was delicious (and huge!) The crab cakes were very good. The sides (mashed potatoes, veggies, rice and slaw) were all good. Warm soft bread sticks were served with mustard, a nice change. Service was good.
