This place is very very casual and laid back. Great at all times of the day. Can't go past apple pie and ice-cream as a sneaky afternoon treat. Great value as well.

Not feeling well, we were looking for somewhere simple and comforting to eat. Being from the east, a diner seemed like a safe bet. Plus the various reviews seemed to make this place out as an okay place. Not the case. Service was terrible. Our waitress was on the ball, but her help was awful. Everything took forever. The food seemed simple enough, open face turkey and a grilled cheese sandwich...
Have you ever been anywhere they couldn't make a grilled cheese? This is the place.
The open face turkey was bearable, but still very weak. The french fries were salty and some of the worse I have ever had. Just skip this place. If you have to go, stick to the burgers.
I don't like giving bad reviews, but this was really bad.

While I've only spent a couple years doing the diner thing on the east coast, I've got to say this place is pretty bomb.

Boogie's is not: haute cuisine, healthy, or your typical aspen joint.

That being said, it's awesome. Diner food is all about comfort and community, and Boogie's has that in droves.

The open faced turkey sandwich is their go-to. I did not, however, sample this. What I did have was an awesome bowl of matzo ball soup and some solid chicken fingers. The coup-de-grace was easily their milk shake. Why? It was simple and delicious.

In terms of the community aspect of the diner, Boogies has been an Aspen staple for close to 30 years and for good reason: it's right in the heart of the "city" and every there seems to know each other. Furthermore, the owner is the inspiration for Mickey Rourke's character in the movie "Diner" (how cool is that?)

Bonus points: they recently opened a bar in the patio area which offers awesome views of the mountains and the ability to get drunk (my second favorite pass-time, next to eating)

If you are looking for just some simple, trustworthy American food, Boogies is a good spot. The burgers are good, I ate there twice during my work stay. It could be a little cheaper but it is in Aspen, so it is expected. Service, atmosphere and location are all good.

Boogies is great for comfort food, just like home! Comfortable diner - like atmosphere. Casual dress. Malts/Milkshakes a must. Chicken fried steak not like Texas, but next best thing!
Mashed potatoes and gravy, delicious and hot!
Mac and Cheese very good. Not much here you won't like.

Best Banana Cream Pie you will ever get. Nothing like it!
