My sons and I are always looking for a meal and a few beers after leaving it on whatever ski hill we just crushed. HH is right on Main Street and we took a chance.

It proved to be a great choice. Pulled pork, beef brisket, ribs were all above average. The platters include lots of starch chloice, beans and awesome cole slaw.

We were there early and watched the place fill up quickly. Very small bar, it is really a restaurant. Lots of families with young ones.

Interesting and crowded place. Meal was delicious. Service was fast and everybody was friendly as all around Aspen.

Ribs were very very average. Racks were very small. Would never eat ribs here again. If you have ever experienced incredible ribs down in Texas or N.C. you will be thoroughly disappointed. They make a bold claim of "Best ribs in Colorado" which is total bs. These ribs are what you'd get at Chilies or Applebees. Kn a positibe note..the waitress was good and it had a friendly atmosphere

This was recommended by our host family. Very popular. Get there early. The Ribs and chicken are very good. This is a perfect family place to eat. The service was excellent. The wine list was short but good for a bbq place.

We've been hanging out for ribs and wings at Hickory House since our last visit a year ago... our trip there tonight didn't disappoint! Our server (Aaron - or perhaps Adrian?) was super-friendly and gave us an overview of the menu and the specials (including a kale salad with chicken or salmon for those less carnivorous among us) - but we couldn't go past the ribs and wings. A rack and a half of baby back ribs (plus sides of coleslaw, baked beans and garlic toast) plus 8 wings, plus a giant cup of Pepsi... plenty of food for two, for around $40. We would've liked to have tried one of their delicious-sounding desserts, but sadly no stomach space! We will certainly be back for their tasty food and friendly service.
