“Good food, decently priced”
Reviewed January 22, 2014

Chicken meatballs with Fra Diavolo sauce was yummy! The sauce is spicy but i loved it. The menu is decently prices even for dinners. A cozy spot with a LOT of Televisions in all corners that have different sports on them. A quick walk from the St.Regis or Hyatt.

“Comfortable and Creative.”
Reviewed January 15, 2014

Aspen is slowly adding a few more "affordable" restaurants to the high end eating bags in town. Meatball Shack is a casual joint specializing in, you guessed it, meatballs! Menu also included steak, fish and a few other tasties. We arrived at 7:30 and the place was packed. The manager greeted every person that came in the door immediately. Seemed like family hour was coming to a close as quite a few of the under 12 crowd were taking leave when we got there. It was very hectic as lots of tables were leaving and staff was turning tables quickly. We ate at the bar and the service was great. My partner had the buffalo chicken balls and they were h-o-t! I had general tsp's balls and they very good but nothing to brag about. Wine pours were generous and there is a full bar. It's a small pace and the bar takes up much (too much) of the space. Nice experience but probably would not make a quick return.

“Meatballs...just OK”
Reviewed January 9, 2014

Our party of 11 had dinner at The Meatball Shack at the recommendation of our driver (who happened to be the bartender in the evenings). We ordered just about every appetizer and a variety of meatball dishes. The meatballs were definitely underwhelming and overpriced.
I ordered lamb and it was very tasty along with the truffle fries. Anything with truffles added to it definitely makes the food so much tastier.
For dessert we all shared the fried oreo's. YUMMY...that was worth visiting this shack.

“Yum!”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

I had the chicken meatballs with marinara over pasta. Really tasty and filling. My husband had Italian meatballs without pasta and loved them too. Even the flank steak was great! It's really more of a bar than a restaurant - it was Boxing Day when we were there and some very inebriated Brits were noisily watching soccer on TV and singing. Amusing, but loud after a while. The waitress told us they'd been drinking since 10 am (it was 1pm).

“High hopes...”
Reviewed January 2, 2014 via mobile

As a border line meatball fanatic, I had very high hopes and expectations for the meatball shack. Although good, the results are only fair. Meatballs are in the small side, and the subs could have used a dose of additional sauce to tie things together. Overall, would probably go again for lunch, but not make a dinner stop.
