“Fun and surprising food/wine find”
Reviewed February 12, 2012

We wanted a lighter meal. Looked at Grape Bar (limited menu), Finnbar (heavy food) and the Creperie. They opened December 2011. You can tell the restaurant is new: lots of energy from the waitstaff, and the backcounter guys. Our waiter recommended white (for me) and red (for husband). Both wines were excellent at a very reasonable pricepoint (especially for Aspen). The waiter (Sam) also recommended the Croque Monsieur, which was really a Croque Madame. (It came with a sunny side up egg on top.) Delicious! The openface sandwich was shared, and was one of the best we've ever had. It wasn't classic in that it was openfaced, but who cares at that yummy point? We also had crepes. My Suzette was served with fire added. Very cool. Husband had mushroom, which he said had too much spinach in it. The ambience was cozy, warm, comforting. It's a small space, and it didn't feel claustrophobic. We will go back.
