Great place to ski especially when there is powder. Pretty easy runs but some challenging blues and blacks. Most of the time it is less crowded that the other mountains in Aspen which makes for nice stress-free skiing.

This mountain has something for everyone. As a beginning skier I was able to go to the top of the mountain and ski all the way down on green runs while my friends and family enjoyed the more advanced areas. The Cliffhouse Restaurant at the top was very good with amazing views.

Formerly known as a beginner's mountain, it now has some challenging intermediate and higher terrain on the Tiehack area and smaller crowd numbers make for a lot of good skiing time. Had my first ski lesson since about 1986 and the excellent instruction made me a better skier. definitely worth a day or more in a 6 day ski trip to the 4 ski mountains of Aspen!

Buttermilk is always fun, newly opened area last year is great, particularly in powder, but we also love the other runs for gently skiing
