Description: Delicious fare lures locals and visitors up the stairs to this lively, sophisticated-but-casual restaurant and lounge. Chef Matt Zubrod is back in Aspen and heading the kitchen at bb's, where he creates his signature classic cuisine with a twist for lunch and dinner. Bb's dining room offers a warm, contemporary atmosphere. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the second-floor location afford beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and downtown Aspen. Lunch is back at bb's by popular demand! Patrons keep coming back for creative soups and salads, hearty sandwiches and entrees. Weekends bring the added bonus of favorite brunch items. Popular lunch items include the DLT Sandwich (duck bacon, duck confit, lettuce & tomato), Chef's Daily Inspiration Chili, MZ Burger with Onion Jam, Bacon & Gruyere, Pulled Chicken-Cherry Salad, and Kale & Quinoa Caesar. At dinner, small plates and large plates allow diners to choose not only what to eat, but how to dine - to share a variety of small plates or choose a traditional entree. Guests can also take advantage of casual dining in the lounge. Dinner guests enjoy favorites like Lobster Chowder, Tuna Tacos, Kale & Brussels Salad, Ahi Carpaccio, Broken Arrow Ranch Antelope, Brandt Beef Ribeye and Dover Sole Meuniere. Top it off with mouthwatering S'mores or the Colorado Artisan Cheese Plate for dessert. Bb's lounge offers a relaxing vibe, perfect for enjoying a hand-crafted cocktail or glass of wine by the fire. The lounge is an intimate gathering place, with windows overlooking the lights of downtown. Bb's... The place to "b" day and night!

This is a beautiful, contemporary restaurant that has a large deck area with a breathtaking view.
The inside dining and bar area are also beautiful.
They have a 4 course Lobster special at $39.00 (check day of week) that is fantastic...The lobster is served in a simmer pot (very unique) with corn, sausage and more!
All 8 in our group truly enjoyed their meal...lobster or not.
The service was terrific. Efficient, professional and friendly!
A great find!!!

We were pleasantly surprised by the superb locally sourced and creative cuisine served at BB's. The hostess was wonderful and pointed out tables with a nice mountain view. Services were excellent as the wait staff inquired if we would like to change our plate and utensils after each dish from the chef tasting menu.

The five course chef tasting menu was fantastic. It starts with a good locally sourced heirloom tomatoes and burrata followed by a very light corn and clam chowder liked soup with a squash blossom on top. Then, the next two dishes of the chef tasting menu were amazing: grilled scallops with green pea puree, and beef with cherry risotto!!! The 5th course, peach cobbler dessert with a light crumbled crust was good too. We also had a delicious Wild Boar "Bacon" and Watermelons with Seasame Seeds. The Smoke Shop Margarita with Jalepeno seeds was excellent also! Overall, we were impressed with Chef Zubrod's imaginative ways of combining unconventional ingredients in a dish and yet still delicious and beautifully presented.

The food was so good that we had dinner here twice in four days!

We (group of 7) were in Aspen during the Governor's Conference. There were a lot od people in town and a table for 7 isn't easy. Made a reservation for dinner at 6:00 at another place (all that was available) but really didn't want to eat that early. After reading the mixed reviews for bb's we decided what the hell, we'll give them a try. Called and made 7:00 reservation and went there at
that time.
Place was excellent. The dining was outside on their roof patio. View was great ! Staff was very friendly and efficient. Wine selection was great and prices were acceptable (nothing is cheap in Aspen). With 7 people we had several selections for dinner. Everyone was pleased with their meal. One of our group who is hard to please said "that was a home run"!!
Don't believe everything you read - most people with positive experiences don't write reviews. I am because this place deserves it.
We will be back.

Our dinner was good and the waitress was attentive. We ordered a bottle of wine which we looked at before we accepted it--it appeared to be what we ordered. When the bill came, we were charged for a wine that was $40 more than what we had asked for. It turns out that there were two wines that were the same except for the vintage. When we complained, the manager was arrogant and surly. In the end we split the difference with the restaurant, but since this was our second bad experience with bbs, we will never go back, nor will we recommend it. Too bad, since we live here and go out a lot.....
