Description: Delicious fare lures locals and visitors up the stairs to this lively, sophisticated-but-casual restaurant and lounge. Chef Matt Zubrod is back in Aspen and heading the kitchen at bb's, where he creates his signature classic cuisine with a twist for lunch and dinner. Bb's dining room offers a warm, contemporary atmosphere. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the second-floor location afford beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and downtown Aspen. Lunch is back at bb's by popular demand! Patrons keep coming back for creative soups and salads, hearty sandwiches and entrees. Weekends bring the added bonus of favorite brunch items. Popular lunch items include the DLT Sandwich (duck bacon, duck confit, lettuce & tomato), Chef's Daily Inspiration Chili, MZ Burger with Onion Jam, Bacon & Gruyere, Pulled Chicken-Cherry Salad, and Kale & Quinoa Caesar. At dinner, small plates and large plates allow diners to choose not only what to eat, but how to dine - to share a variety of small plates or choose a traditional entree. Guests can also take advantage of casual dining in the lounge. Dinner guests enjoy favorites like Lobster Chowder, Tuna Tacos, Kale & Brussels Salad, Ahi Carpaccio, Broken Arrow Ranch Antelope, Brandt Beef Ribeye and Dover Sole Meuniere. Top it off with mouthwatering S'mores or the Colorado Artisan Cheese Plate for dessert. Bb's lounge offers a relaxing vibe, perfect for enjoying a hand-crafted cocktail or glass of wine by the fire. The lounge is an intimate gathering place, with windows overlooking the lights of downtown. Bb's... The place to "b" day and night!

Went for brunch, and had the lobster claw benedict, it was perfection! Friend had the wild porcini mushroom and ricotta omelette, also perfection. The service and atmosphere was fresh, young and polished/casual. Wonderful patio, great view, and very reasonable prices. Thoroughly delightful and memorable brunch!!!!!

“a delicious Saturday breakfast experience - highly recommended”
Reviewed August 13, 2011

BB's is a labor of love effort by a local foodie. It's not cheap, but isn't a ripoff either - and Aspen is full of high-end places that fall short of what they charge. They experiment with food at BB's - successfully. I observe the staff at restaurants to see if they cooperate with each other or ae playing it solo, and BB's staff - youngish - is cooperative. hat allows the food to hit the table more quickly, and the server enthusiasm reflects the apparent chemistry amongst the oflks who work there. Our breakfast - I had eggs benedict while my partner had over-medium - included crisp bacon, wonderful bread, and very good coffee. I am not a cofee drinker, but she is and she raved about it. We will be returning for dinner. They have an outdoor seating area - BB's in on the second floor in an old art gallery space - that is away from street noise and pedestrians lookig over your shoulder.

“Affordable (by Aspen standards), well-executed pastas, salads, and pizzas”
Reviewed August 12, 2011

It's refreshing to find a straightforward, well-priced option in Aspen, and this place has a number of things going for it: large outdoor patio facing a courtyard filled with art galleries and with very good mountain views beyond, a fairly short menu showing some originality without overly cluttering dishes with ingredients, a young and friendly waitstaff that always seemed to be nearby. A spring lettuces salad was fresh and ample, as was an interesting squash salad. Ricotta gnocchi came with a whole lobster claw, a squash blossom, some vegetables and a near-perfect lemony sauce. Grilled chipotle prawns were also terrific. Fried chicken and other dishes that flew by looked very appearling. Reasonably interesting wine list at OK prices. We tend to leave many Aspen restaurants either a bit over- or underwhelmed, but BB's Kitchen hit it just right.
