“great alternative for non-skiiers/snow boarders”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2012

We did a snow shoe tour with the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies and had a great time. The tour would be do-able for all fitness levels.

The staff was very knowledgeable and the views were spectacular. This is a great way for the non-skiers/snow boarders (or those who wore themselves out their first day out) to participate in the beauty of the mountain and learn a bit more about the eco-system.

Highly recommend!

“Family fun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2011

We took the kids and they loved the exhibits. It's small compared to a big urban museum, but it is a lovely way to enjoy getting to know the ecosystem of the rocky mountains. We walked from our hotel and brought a picnic lunch with us. And the kids raved about it as much as the skiing.

“Wonderful, informative, naturalist slide show on bears”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 26, 2010

We attended the naturalist slide show on bears one evening while we were in Snowmass skiing. We took the shuttle bus which was very convenient. The presentation
was wonderful and informative and one of the highlights of our trip. A nice (free)
evening of enrichment. I just checked their website and was dissappointed to see that
the programs do not start till Jan. We are going skiing in Dec and will miss this opportunity.
We also took the snow shoe tour which was fun and informative but not so inexpensive.
The ACES center is worth a visit just to look around and get a feel for the environment .
I would not miss going there again. Interesting for all ages. Don't miss it.
