“Beautiful As a Song”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

I've been a fan for forty years. When I read the words of the songs on the rocks, I cried. Because I miss him and because the world lost so much. He was a gift to us and I am thankful.

“A Beautiful Tribute”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

We were ready for our picnic lunch after the drive over Independence Pass to Aspen so stopped at the Information Office for suggestions as to where we should picnic. It was a fortuitous stop, the very pleasant and helpful young lady suggested the John Denver Sanctuary where John's Song Garden is located. It is the perfect garden, a thing of beauty, with rocks inscribed with the lyrics of John's songs set amongst flowers alongside a stream. This is a don't miss spot, with any luck you will also enjoy it on as glorious day as we had!

“Beautiful spot!”
Reviewed August 30, 2013

We stumbled upon this spot while riding our bikes. The flowers are beautiful but the most striking part (to me) are the large rocks with different song lyrics carved into them. The spot is right along the river and bike path. You don't have to be a huge fan to appreciate the beauty here.

“Poignant and beautiful”
Reviewed August 21, 2013

John Denver's beautiful songs and poems are carved onto large boulders, which dot the hillside along the mountain stream. The area is lushly landscaped, and the scent of the flowers along with the buzzing bees makes this a favorite. It's also a neat place to wade in the stream and cool off.
