We hosted our rehearsal dinner here the last weekend of the ski season at Aspen Highlands.

When you start with the most stunnign view, then a love of food & wine, we came with high expectations. Somehow they managed top blow our highest ones out of the water. Every last detail was impeccable. From our greeting before the snow cats headed up, the champagne & fire waiting on the deck, to the food & service. Literally, every detail was perfection. Thank you to this incredible team.

Cloud 9 should be on everyone's wish list!!

The main reason I have given this review a 5 star rating is because I just had 2 of the most fun & entertaining ski lunches of all time at Cloud Nine!
What a fabulous experience!
It's also the nearest thing to a European ski lunch I have ever experienced in the US.
We chose to have a late lunch (as there is no skiing after lunch here - except the ski down at the end of the day) & arrived at 2pm both days. By around 3pm the entire place was jumping, the music was cranked up & everyone was dancing - on tables, chairs, just about anywhere you could find a space. In between mouthful's of fondue & sips of wine we couldn't help grooving in our chairs & once lunch was complete we were up there too.
Such a fun and happy time - can't wait to go back next year!
ps. fabulous people watching too!

Took a friend for lunch recently and we received the absolute worst value possible. The food was just ok, but the non-existent service was truly offensive. 3 people dining. 2 bottles of champagne, ate oysters without side plates or napkins / forks, appetizers never came until after entree and server was unapologetic, dropped on table and rushed away and said "sorry dude, they delivered it to the wrong table". Nobody on the staff cares including the manager. I could go on and on but the bottom line is for $500 for lunch and drinks (2 bottles champagne @ $150 each), one would think that you could expect some level of attention to detail. Very very disappointing. The deck is beautiful and the afternoon dance party is fun, but even the stereo system seems to have been neglected. Turned up so loud that speakers crack and pop. Nobody on the staff seems to care or notice. Everything super low quality, rushed and neglected. I have lived in aspen for 15 years and my expectations have lowered due to human resources challenges in the area, but this takes the cake. Absolutely heartbreaking to me that such a wonderful place has deteriorated to such a low level. If you are owner or management reading this, please wake up and take some pride in what you are doing. If you have visited and had similar experience, please write about it so management will get some religion. Cloud Nine has become total garbage and I am embarrassed that I brought my friend there for what should have been great but turned out to be hideous. I am not exaggerating.. This was the worst.

On a sunny afternoon, you can't beat hanging out on the terrace at Cloud Nine and drinking Veuve Cliquot. After lunch in the afternoon, they turn up the music and offer a bit of apres ski, which was great fun! The food was good, not fantastic esp considering the prices. But worth it for an afternoon out-of-the-ordinary. Only too bad that they shut down right at 16:00 and send everyone home instead of continuing on into the night like in Europe.

Yes, the location is spectacular and the surroundings quaint, but the food and service do not warrant the expensive price tag. Food was mediocre and not accurately described by our server, who just seemed to be going through the motions. As locals we went here for lunch expecting a special treat, but instead were treated with typical Aspen restaurant attitude - "We don't really have to try hard because even if we don't give great service and food we'll still always be busy" Very disappointing. This place could be really special if they tried a bit harder, but i don't think there's any real motivation to improve. Kind of a shame
