“Good food, good prices”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

Gunther Toodys Diner has good food at reasonable prices - they are a trip back into the 50's or 60's, and have an incredibly good chocolate malt!! (What else needs to be said?)

Their early morning breakfast are inexpensive but good. More food than I can usually eat.

“Gunther Toody's - a Trip to the 60's”
Reviewed October 15, 2013

Gunther Toody's is a fun and reasonably priced place to go. It has good food and great atmosphere. Like signs on the walls from the 60s (think I Love Lucy) and even older. They now serve alcoholic drinks and beer, but no wine. They have a $2.99 breakfast Mon-Fri until 11 am. But other breakfast as well. A daily special includes your coffee. On Wednesday's they have buy one hamburger, get one free. Comfort food as roast beef, meatloaf, chicken fried steak. Dinner comes with unlimited soup (very good). They have fresh potatoes, even mashed. All their food is very good and plenty of it. Also, gigantic shakes and cinammon rolls. Great fun place to go. Most dinners are under $10. No senior discount. This is a chain and has several restaurants in the Denver area.

“Friendly staff ok food”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

Attemp to recreate a 50 s dinner. Portions are good prices ok, food ok. Staff were efficient and friendly. If you like a chains attempt at home cooking e.g. Pot roast give it a try but I would not rate the food as anything more than ok for flavour

“What a fun blast from the past!”
Reviewed September 4, 2013 via mobile

This place is right out of the 50's & 60's. The old TV show - Car 54 tie in is sadly lost on the younger folks! The menu is varied and just a bit pricey. Most of the booths have the old juke box selection remote - lots of fun. My brother & I both had burgers & shakes/malts. Everything was delicious but - if anything - there was too much food for one sitting. If you've got an appetite and like nostalgia and 50's - 60's music & atmosphere - this is your place!!

“Awful”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

We had went to this chain in Lakewood and it was wonderful. We got a great deal on full a full breakfast for $2.99 that included eggs of your choice, hash browns, bacaon, sausage or ham and toast everything cooked just like we had ordered it. If kids cleaned their plates. The waitress was so nice and helpful. We loved stepping back inot the old diner theme.

Then we went to the one closest to Lakeside & it was not good at all!

We had a bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich that they served with crumbled bacon (I would have sent it back but my daughter wouldn't) The three kids had mac & cheese (just Kraft's) and it was cold. We never saw much of the waitress after we ordered so no refills on drinks. We were sittted was to the bar that we had to go through to use the rest room. Not good with kids on any day.Just a bad, bad experience. Guess we should have known as the one in Lakewood was real busy & there were only a few people in this one.
Awful, awful, awful.
