“Good food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2012

I enjoyed our meal here. It was very good. I ordered the duck and it was prepared very skillfully. Duck can be greasy if not done right. The pork cutlet was also yummy.

“Very Good, Why Did We Wait?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 19, 2012

We have lived in the area for over 15 years and have driven by this restaurant at least once per day and were always skeptical. We recently visited Germany and wanted to find similar fare locally and decided to give it a try based on reviews. We are so glad we did and are sad we waited so long. The restaurant was packed when we arrived but we were accomidated quicly with friendly servers. We were quickly served drinks and bread by a firendly Gentleman. The schnapps was very good as was the beer. The Roast Beef was tender enought to cut with the fork and very delicious. My Husband order the Weiner Schnitzel, Pork Sausage and Duck combination which was more than he could finish in one sitting. While not all of the food tasted authentic to Germany, we did not expect a perfect match but were very satisfied and will definately be back.Good Service, Great Food and Very Clean and Cheery!

“READ THIS BEFORE YOU GO!!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 19, 2012 via mobile

This place is awesome!!! We had the schnitzel and all I can say is yuuuuuumm!! The service was great from the time we opened the door to ringing the bell. We will be back!!!

TIP: Get the oktoberfest beer if you like beer. It's great. The soup is a must because you can get salad anywhere and this place has fantastic soup. Also if you like the food and service ring the bell on the way out. Please let me know if this was helpful for you. Thank you.

“Great Food, Excellent Service, Home cooked entrees”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2012

Golden Europe is a small family run restaurant that is open Tuesdays through Saturdays in Arvada, CO. They specialize in German, Czech, and Polish dishes. Each entree is individually prepared, so food is served hot and pleasantly presented. Their sauerkraut is cooked and flavored just like you get in Germany. Their big draw is their Schnitzel fixed in a variety of ways and served with German potato salad, spaetzle, sauerkraut, red cabbage, with multiple choices of gravies available to order. They also do the traditional bratwurst, kielbasa, svickova, roast duck, cabbage rolls, etc. For appetizers there are potato pancakes and breaded cauliflower offerings. I personally find their Jager Schnitzel a favorite that I order often.

Beer and wine offerings are from this European region of the world and are delivered cold (beer and white wines), but the beer is presented in mugs and glasses and not beer goblets.

Portions are plenty ample to feed a hungry person. Take out boxes are provided for the average eater.

“Privacy on the patio!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2011

My husband and I were visiting Denver this week, and decided to try this restaurant on the way back from a trip to the mountains. It has a curious name, but we were so glad we stopped! Very busy for a Saturday evening, so we asked to sit out on the back patio. It was such a great experience for us! We were the only ones out there- and the food and German wine took us back to Germany! We weren't that hungry, so decided to share the wienerschnitzel, added the side of German potato salad, and chicken noodle soup. We had LOTS of food!!! The bread basket comes with real butter. We wondered if the service would suffer since we were the only ones out on the patio, but we had such great attention!
Our server was Jess, and she treated us so well. Both of us had a great meal, authentic food, German wine in authentic German wine glasses, and a quiet meal. Wish we lived here, we would return to this place again in a heartbeat. FYI- the sign posted in the front said they would be closed from June 27th through the 1st of August.
