Ok, the food is pretty good. The wait staff is friendly, but the novelty of throwing peanut shells on the ground wears off quickly when you look at the menu. The Northwoods Inn has been here since I was a kid and it attracts a loyal following, but it needs a serious make over.
There are too many nice places in So Cal that serve a good steak that do not involve dusty old stuffed animals, fake icicles on the roof, and stratospheric menu prices.
Try it once, if you must, but then get yourself to Roy's, McCormick's, The Chart House, or any other higher end place that offers a better dining experience...you'll get a lot better bang for your buck.
