We did this tour for a special birthday and wow, what a great time. First, Michael is very knowledgeable about sea life. He provided us with a great experience. Very friendly and went out of his way to find whales and other sea life. We live nearby and have done other whale watching trips from Morro Bay, but this is the very best we've ever experienced. If you want a trip you'll never forget, go to this place.

There's whale watching, and then there's The Whale Experience. Our 2.5 hours with Mike out of Morro Bay in July 2014 transcended anything we could have hoped for. Mike seemed to understand where the whales were going to be and was able to maneuver his small craft unbelievable close to them. In fact, we ended up in the middle of a pod of maybe 8 feeding whales. Forget the big boats. On Mike's small boat, our party of 3 had a full-on view from every vantage point. Seven stars, 100%.

Captain Michael is your man for a great offshore look at Morro Bay and the whales. Traveling in a small, fast, powerful, and manueverable craft like his gives you great advantage in getting around to the vantage points you want to see, and up close & personal with the whales...

Well worth the money, and leaves you with a lasting memory of MB!

Thanks, MB Boat Charters!

Not for the eldery, injured, or boring, because of the size of the zodiac vs the swell(but i loved it)
Went whalewatching at 11. Tour lasts for 1,5hours, which is fine if you don't feel like making a day out of it having to bring food and drinks and so on.
It's definitely not traditional whalewatching. Usually you either go out a lot of people on a bigger boat(which I hate), or a smaller group with a researcher or a marine biologist(which I've done before and like!). This is neither of those things. This is a fun, young entrepreneur giving you a nice look at the whales, with a bit more adventure to it. Only thing I can complain about was the lack of knowledge about whales, but he's new in the business so maybe it will improve.
Overall great experience, best one that Morro Bay has to offer I figure. Well worth the 50bucks!
