“First stop ”
Reviewed August 12, 2014 via mobile

Our first trip to the island and we were hungry. Looked up a few reviews and chose the Bluewater based on reviews and type of fare. I had a cucumber mijito, which was very good. We had the calamari appetizer. The red pepper strips were a pleasant surprise. The aioli sauce was good. The sweet chili sauce, although good, tasted like it came straight from the bottle. I had the mahi mahi sliders, very good. He chose the Aussie burger. Although it sounded better than it tasted. The flavors didn't meld well together on out palates - yes I tasted it, and it was a bit bland. It is a place to go back to and try something new, should the wind blow us back to Catalina.

“Good Food, Great View”
Reviewed August 11, 2014

Finally Catalina has a good restaurant with an affordable lunch menu! The view from really anywhere in the restaurant is wonderful, especially on a clear day, and we had prompt and attentive service. It is a little on the pricier side, but considering the other food options on the island, its well worth it. There is an affordable lunch menu and the bread was fresh baked and warm and hit our table the second we were seated. Downside is they charge you 50 cents for water due to conservation. We had the calamari appetizer, which was well prepared and served with 2 yummy dipping sauces. One friend ordered the crab cake sandwhich which was good, but the homemade chips needed seasoning as they were bland. My other friend had the seafood louie salad, which was very good and I had the chopped salad with grilled shrimp and it was also very good.

“Casual atmosphere with upscale food”
Reviewed August 9, 2014

This restaurant has an attractive decor and boasts a great location right on the water. Our server, Kaitlyn, was especially friendly. We had the cedar plank salmon and the grilled swordfish for dinner; both were fresh, delicious, and well-prepared.

We liked this place so much that we came back for lunch and enjoyed a relaxing meal on the deck overlooking the harbor. My husband had the chopped salad with shrimp, and I had the fish tacos with grilled mahi mahi; both were outstanding! Our server, Mallory, was also friendly and efficient.

“Lunch just ok”
Reviewed August 7, 2014 via mobile

Had lunch at Bluewater. A little overrated. Food was above average but nothing to brag about. Mahi major tacos were good; Shrimp & Crab Louie salad was mediocre at best.
