Picked Ikedas based on proximity to hotel and reviews here...good pot pie and teriyaki bowl...pie was good too..best part was the farmers market connected....awesome selection of local wines, beers and fruit.

Thank mrsanderson

Wonderful warm pies from different apple pies, peach, blackberry, apricot, etc. Great fresh fruits and breads to take with you on your trips and so handy just off of I80 in Auburn.

Flies were everywhere inside this semi-open restaurant. Food was over priced and not good. Seems like one of those places that catches the traveling traffic heading to Tahoe/Reno.
Store has good stuff but way over priced. Pies look fantastic but no flavor. Sorry Ikeda but you failed.

It started as a fruit stand that sold home made apple pies and is now a self service restaurant selling hamburgers, chicken pot pies, tamales, Thai rice bowls, etc. Will it evolve into a Michelin star restaurant in another 50 years? The crowds can be horrendous at noon as it attracts not only road warriors to and from Tahoe/Reno but locals, little leaguers and soccer teams. Don't miss the original concept, the fruit stand and other local purveyors and the various fruit shakes. The fruit (blueberry, strawberry, etc) muffins are gigantic, delicious and fresh!
