My family and I have had the pleasure of staying at the Holiday Inn Auburn on two seperate occasions this month and found our experience to be excellant! The rooms are comfortably appointed and clean, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and valued, and the location is great! Highly recommend!

Although the room was clean and the front desk staff and room service staff were friendly, I would not recommend this hotel. In the rooms, a sign is posted that states any articles left behind will be mailed to you. I left behind some articles and they were not returned to me. I was told they were not found in the room. I would not stay at this hotel again because of the lack of honesty of the housekeeping staff and management’s inability to ensure that forgotten personal belongings are returned to their owners.

We stayed at this Holiday Inn for 2 nights in May, 2005. We took our dog Lucie with us. When we made reservations we told them we had a dog. We requested a ground floor room to make taking her out easier. The room we got was just great. It was a large corner room with a sitting area for TV watching and a king size bed. Lucie even had room to play catch with her toys. It was very quiet and clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. There was a grassy area outside for Lucie. (we cleaned up after her) there is nothing bad we could say about our stay and will return again.

We have stayed here twice - the first time being OK but the second time was just awful. On our second visit, we were given a room that smelled like pizza had been consumed in it just shortly before our arrival. The carpet was filthy and the toilet wouldn't flush. When we asked for a different room we were told there weren't any available. The pool was dirtier than it had been on our first visit. There is an In 'N' Out Burger in the parking lot and a Marie Callenders is attached to the hotel which are plusses. Unfortunately, we learned the hard way that the Marie Callenders does not accept American Express Travellers Checks. We did fill out a customer satisfaction form that the Holiday Inn corporate offices sent out and described our dissatisfaction but we never heard back from them.
