“Awfully Awesome in Auburn!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2014 via mobile

If you want the most amazing food at a decent price, you must try Awful Annie's. They serve breakfast and lunch all day, so my boyfriend and I share out plates. He ordered the Carne Asada Eggs Benedict. The rib eye adds so much flavor and they didn't drown the eggs in hollandaise. With the avocado, it's heavenly; oh, and the potatoes are the best I've ever tasted. I ordered the Reuben. Perfect amount of each component and I enjoyed every bit of it. My favorite place for brunch!!!

“It's awfully good!”

Huge portions of creative as well as standard breakfast and lunch items. But the Bloody Mary's are da bomb!

“Come hungry”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 5, 2014

This place is worth the wait that can happen on weekends. Very casual atmosphere and the food is ample in quantity and outstanding in quality. Try the Mess or the French toast(both favorites) but the eggs benedict are also outstanding... eaten here 12 times over the past 3 years NEVER had a bad meal

“Home feeling, home made taste”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2014

My favorite place for breakfast (lunch good, too)! The home feeling is a getaway compared to busy, commercialized-feeling chains. Feels like having breakfast at Grandmas, and the food is VERY fresh and awesome. "The Mess" is an egg/potato/veggie scramble must-have.

“Very good breakfast and plenty of it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 5, 2014

I was meeting a friend who was driving from Reno to meet me and met here for breakfast. Old town Auburn is a cute little town and the restaurant was homey and old-fashioned. There were two dining rooms and a nice long veranda with heatlamps that had a great view of the original capitol building. We chose the back room for the intimacy. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. We both had benedicts. The crab benedict was terrific. When asked, they did admit there was some K Krab in there but also real crab. It was big enough to share but we ate everything and suffered for several hours. (Not the restaurant's fault!)
