“WEDDING CENTER ROCKS!!!”
Reviewed March 28, 2012

Got married at the beginning of this month (March) and cannot think of a better location to have had whole affair take place than at the Power's Mansion Inn Wedding Center. Alfred Lee and his team REALLY know weddings inside and out. Planning the affair was was truly a collaborative effort of the best kind and Alfred & Co. were totally open to any and all suggestions that we had. Our ceremony was held outdoors with a gazebo and the truly beautiful Gold Rush era Mansion as backdrops. The Ballroom where our reception was held is amazing and the lighting, in particular, was the subject of several 'glowing' comments by people in attendance. The food was totally top-knotch. In particular, the meatballs and 'Mexican-style' eggrolls these guys came up with were to die for. They have a great sound system and we all danced the night away to the big max!!! As far as putting oneself in good hands and letting those experienced hands design and put on a beautiful wedding experience goes, I would recommend Alfred Lee and his Team highly and without an ounce reservation........Dave Jansen

My mom just got married this past weekend at the Power's Mansion Inn. They had a beautiful area outside with plenty of seating and either a gazebo or patio/waterfall area in which they could get married. Alfred Lee at the Power's Mansion was absolutely fabulous. He helped them through everything from the flowers, pictures, cake, reception set-up, reception food, reception music, ceremony rehearsal & layout and even performed the cermony himself! Everyone at the Inn was on top of everything and ready and willing to do whatever it took to make sure my mom had her perfect day - which she did!

I had a great time at Power's Mansion! I love B&Bs and this one did not let me down. The mansion is victorian with a tea room operating in the dining room. The charming girl who checked us in also gave us a tour and told us about the home's history. All of the rooms are so different and the photos online do not so them justice. The house could use a new paint job and an update in some of the furniture items. Overall, we had fun!

Room Tip: My advice for future guests is to take a tour to choose your room. Each room has it's own feel...

Noah ,our host, was very attentive and helpful, an excellent Host.
Breakfast , was great!

room not cleaned adequately. Furnishings were Salvation Army calliber
mattress, appeared old. did not provide enough padding for a good level of comfort.
We were there on a Groupon, coupon but would not be motivated to choose the Mansion
again. Not enough positives. Way overpriced in our opinion.

We paid $200 for a Saturday night in the Gold Room and the room needed refreshing; it was quite drab and we were quite disappointed. Our breakfast was served in the pub next door and it really reminded me of England where everything was old and worn. The breakfast was very good.

Room Tip: I wouldn't go back, but if you do stay, don't get the gold room.

We booked two nights for my wife's birthday weekend and had a very nice experience. She is German/Irish and so we stayed in the Irish Immigrant's room. It was very interesting, with an upstairs toilet, and up a couple more for the claw-footed bathtub/shower, overlooking the bed and sink. I think it is important to look at the rooms online, before making your reservation, to see what would work best for you, and your specific needs. I did notice that the uniqueness and turn of the century rooms are built for smaller framed adults. By far the best thing about the Inn, is Alfred Lee, the proprietor, and his excellent staff. We especially enjoyed the service we got from Noah. He helped us immensely with anything and everything. Sleep was a little challenging in the room due to outside noise, and a water noise (flushing toilet?) that occurred 1-2times the first night and 5-6 times the 2nd night. We really enjoyed the breakfast served daily at 9am. Plentiful portions, and a mimosa to finish it off the weekend we were there. Overall, a great place! Thank again to Alfred and Noah!

Alfred and his staff are wonderful. They are very accommodating. They helped to make a special event even more special by the outstanding food, atmosphere, and customer service that they provided. I would go here again and again. I know that I will be treated like a special guest. Thank you, Alfred!!!!!!
