Owner description: A picturesque camping, hiking and outdoor recreation area.

This was the location for a group of friends from all over Ca. to meet. We stayed the weekend of 3/ 15,16,17 / 2013. Nice campgrounds, friendly Rangers. We stayed in a group area with limited amenities. We had tent campers and RVers. We stayed in Sycamore camp right next to the lake. Being off season we had the place pretty much to ourselves. There are water slides nearby so I could imagine the place filling up during the summer.
Saw deer and turkeys, lots of other birds. Rented a patio boat for a couple hours. Biked on the trails.
My only complaint is that the campground does not have a dump station. There are camp sites with full hook ups, however the group site does not. So we had to find other arrangements outside the campground to manage waste.

Thank Greg A

This hidden treasure is ideal for those who enjoy fishing, hiking, biking, or relaxing. March is a perfect time of year to enjoy the lake. Lots of camp sites available and the crowds are minimal. The turkey are running around in huge flocks. Deer graze peacefully near throughout the park. The rangers and camp hosts are enthusiastic about the environment, and on weekends offer fishing seminars for kids, campfire meetings, and hikes. Can't be beat.

It has fishing, you can rent little boats, swim, hike, etc. Weather is usually warm in the summer and you can usually see flocks of turkeys or occasional deer wandering around the camping areas.

Loved seeing all the turkeys at the entrance of the park. We also saw lots of deers while hiking some of the different trails in the park. Apparently, this is a popular destination for fishing.
