“A very enjoyable stay, just double check all your requests in the online reservation”
Reviewed June 28, 2012

Stayed here for one Friday night in mid-June. When we arrived at 8pm, they no-longer have a non-smoking room with two doubles as we requested in the reservation. We were offered a choice of a suite with a king size bed and sofa pull out, or a smoking room with two doubles; we settled for the suite with the king size bed. The breakfast buffet offered plenty of choices to get one ready for the rest of the day. The chef, working the griddle, was happy to make egg-white only omelette if one so desired. The dinning area was large enough to accommodate the guests, and only started to get a bit crowded at around 9am. Since we stayed at the 7th floor, I was concern about having to wait for elevator to get back to our room after breakfast, but the 4 elevators serving 7 floors were able to handle the traffics volume without queues forming. Finally, there are lots of places to eat, a block away from the hotel.

Room Tip: Given a choice, i would prefer to stay on the 2nd or 3rd floor, so I don't have to use the eleva...

Last month I stayed at the Embassy Suites in Arcardia California, near Pasadena. I have to say that the rate of $137.00 per night was well worth it. The room was clean and very comfortable. With the free drinks in the evenings and a full breakfast available in the morning you actually save money.

We ate at the hotel restaurant both Friday and Saturday night and I was very impressed with the wait staff. They remembered what our drink and food preferences were from one night to the next. That tells me that they pay attention to their clientelle. And the food was well prepared and wonderful. The only thing that I cannot recommend is the nachos on their appetizer menu. The chips are too thin and do not hold up well. Otherwise everything else was great. I will definitely be staying at Embassy Suites again.

Our family always likes to stay at Embassy Suites because of the 2 room suite. You can spread out a little bit more. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean. We stayed in Room # 508. The air conditioner made a loud noise and we reported it to the front desk. We were afraid that we wouldn't be able to sleep that night, but the man on duty told us that the noise would go away at around 8: 30 pm. We did go out to dinner and when we returned that night, the noise had stopped. There was a lot of free parking. The breakfast was delightful because they make you a homemade omelet with many ingredients to add to it. The omelet was delicious. We thought the breakfast was excellent with so many choices. We missed the manager's reception but we always enjoy them. Overall, we thought this hotel was average. Another part that we thought needed the hotel's attention was the big stains on the carpet around the elevator areas where you get off and on. The hotel definitely needed new carpet there or at least clean that area.

Embassy is always a good choice with family, the cook to order breakfast is fantastic. The hotel was comfortable, but a little on the tired side for an Embassy. We brought our own wine and the restuarant was happy to provide us glass while we enjoyed it in the lobby. This hotel is also near a lot of shops and restuarants.

This is a typical Embassy Suites - one bedroom suite, manager's reception in the evening and cooked to order breakfast in the morning. Everything about this stay was fine. The location of this particular hotel is just off the Foothill Freeway about 10 miles east of Pasadena. One of the nice things about the location is that there are a fairly large number and variety of restaurants within easy walking distance. So it is possible to take a stroll and check them out to see where you want to have dinner without having to drive. This is perhaps unusual in the L.A. area.

Room Tip: Most of the rooms are essentially similar. Since the hotel has about 8 floors it might be best to a...

The Embassy Suites give the traveler a predictable quality of room and service. All rooms are suites, with a sitting/dining room and a separate bedroom. The rooms are very comfortable. The hotel is getting older, but is well maintained. The breakfast each morning is fast and tasty and is included in the price of the room. One can order eggs any style, pancakes, breakfast meat and potatoes. Plus there is juice and fruit, toast and rolls, as well as coffee and tea. All in all, a pretty good value and the location in the San Gabriel Valley is excellent.
