“Canned food at its worst - and instant potatoes - ICK!”
Reviewed July 2, 2014

If your reading this review, my advise to you - GO someplace else! The food here is the worst we have had during our week stay in AC. The food was straight out of a can. The potatoes are made from an instant mix. The gravy was so salty and tasted of tin. We ordered an entree that came with a house salad, which one would thought would be good, but the iceberg lettuce was wilted and brown... the decor of the place is interesting and yes, a throwback to years gone... but the booth fabric is ripped, torn and stained. I question the overall quality of the kitchen if they cant even keep the place clean and in proper shape.

Again - do not waste your money here .

“A Throw Back In Time”
Reviewed June 30, 2014

A very nice atmosphere, family friendly. Service was prompt and friendly. Stuff on salad bar was fresh and plentiful, but only single trip. Ordered liver and onions and was prepared very good, and service in very short order although the mashed 'taders' were out of a box though and gravy was out of a can. Not real expensive, but what I felt was a little pricy for even Northern California.

“Nice family diner”
Reviewed June 23, 2014

Had a nice dinner here late one Friday night. Good kids menu and our burgers and fries were great. Very friendly service and my husband loved the 50's/ hot rod vibe. Definitely would stop here again. Very affordable. Thanks for a great meal!

“Just an okay cafe”
Reviewed June 1, 2014

We were in the area in early May. We stopped in on a Sunday late morning and were seated right away. A waitress was quick to bring our coffee and tea and to take our orders. However, it took well over a half hour to get our food. I remember looking at all other tables (that were practically all full) and no one was eating - no one had received their food. Once we did receive our order (Denver omelet and a French dip sandwich) the food was good and hot. We will return in the future and plan not to be in a hurry. I thought maybe the cook didn't show up that day. I don't know. It all turned out okay. I will recommend it to others but suggest they not be in a rush.
