The Disney hotel is in a great location for exploring the Disney parks. With a 3yr old it was easy to come and go from the parks as needed. And the pools offer great relief from the long days exploring Disneyland.

Our family of 4 stayed at the Disneyland Hotel for 4 nights from January 5-9. Disney knows what they're doing! Walking into the lobby, we were greeted with Christmas carolers, as we were there for the end of the holiday season. The teacups in the lobby were a nice touch too. As first time visitors, we were given "1st Visit" pins to wear. All the cast members we encountered at both parks always had us leaving their attraction with a "enjoy your 1st visit!" comment.
We stayed in the Frontier Tower which is the furthest of the 3 towers from the entrance. But don't be fooled; it is not by much. Maybe a 1 minute walk? Hardly noticeable at all.
Our room overlooked the pool area. The "Happiest Place on Earth" really became our very own once we saw our room. Disney touches are evident everywhere. From the discreet Mickey Mouse pattern in the carpet, the gloved handed light fixtures, the hidden mouse ears in the shower to the LED headboard featuring fireworks, and music playing "when you wish upon a star" to fall asleep to. Disney magic was everywhere which was what we wanted out of a first visit!
The room is where you will hopefully spend very little time ;-) . The beds are extremely comfortable. They are equipped with a mini fridge, which comes in very handy to keep milk in to have a quick bowl of cereal before heading to the parks! Plenty of room to walk around in, even if the bathroom is a tad on the small side. We had 2 queen beds, and a sofa that can convert into a single sleeper. VERY CLEAN, and the housekeeping should be applauded for a job well done. Attention to detail is evident everywhere.
We used the pool only twice; the night we checked in, and the day we checked out. Being Canadian, we found it warm enough to be outside and enjoy it. The waterslides were a big hit, and there are plenty of lifeguards. Cabanas are available to rent as well, and whilst we didn't, they look fantastic! There are lifts for the disabled, for the hot tubs.
We didn't eat at any of the restaurants on site, as we did full 12-14 hour days at the parks. We spent the morning of check out day at the pool and there were Disney characters everywhere, so we were able to take pictures with them.
$ was well spent at this property. We were granted the "magic hour" all three days by staying here, which is key to getting the most out of your visit to the parks. TRUST ME! By doing this, we were able to walk right up to the high attraction rides, get our Fast Passes, and have a smooth day. I can't say enough about how staying at a Disney property, and with proper planning you will most definitely have the greatest Disney experience. (I highly suggest even with the magic hour, getting to the gates 15-20 mins prior to the opening time. By doing so, we were 2nd in line!)
I can't wait to go back to this hotel!

Room Tip: Frontier Tower really isn't as far as made out to be! And is the most quiet!

Visited Disneyland with three of our children and the Disneyland Hotel was an excellent choice and we will be returning very soon. If you are considering where to stay for a trip to Disneyland do yourself a favour and book this Hotel. Yes it is very convenient to Disneyland, California Park and the various shops and restaurants located outside Disneyland but the Hotel itself makes the stay extra special. The rooms are a good size with quality fittings and furniture. The lovely Disney theme that is continued throughout the Hotel and rooms is magical and makes it fun. The Hotel amenities such as good quality onsite food and bars along with the fantastic pool and convenience of an onsite coin operated laundry make for an easy and relaxing stay where the whole family can enjoy their stay. The staff were amazing and a special thank you to Yvette at guest services who went above and beyond to ensure that magic continued right throughout our stay (even on departure). Would definitely recommend this Hotel.

Room Tip: We stayed in Frontier Tower and had a good size room with a nice view. I'm sure any room would...

This hotel was definitely what made the holiday. The attention to detail is amazing, down to the head board lit up in fairy lights, Mickey Mouses head on the taps and towel holders. Amazing.... Our room looked out onto the pool which was the best pool in a hotel I have ever had. They have a number of sections of the pool for different age groups. The water slides were an absolute hit with my 4 year old who wanted to keep going back to the pool and water slides rather than visit the theme parks. The cabanas are like no other cabana I have ever seen with TV, fridge, IPod docking station, fruit platter, water, curtains, safe, comfy sun beds and couches. The staff are over the top friendly but this is not in a bad way at all, this really helps with experience. The rooms are very spacious and clean. I would stay in this hotel again even if I wasn't going to the theme parks as it made it a great experience for us having a child.

This was a great choice! Walking distance to parks, driving distance to other Anaheim spots.

The head board on all the beds have a castle/fireworks that lights up and has music.

Kid and adult friendly.

Great restaurants within the hotel, poolside also nice with special monorail surprise by the children's pool.

Would definitely stay there again.

Ideal location near the monorail station and Lego store in Downtown Disney. Better value than the Grand Californian, with large, nicely renovated rooms. Large pool is a great spot to wind down after a long day in the parks (no shortage of life guards!) We had a 66 year old first-time visiter with us and the staff at the front desk did a great job of making it a memorable introduction to Disneyland!

Room Tip: Recommend staying in the adventure tower. Light-up headboards are a nice touch.

My Company was having a conference on the Disneyland Hotel Property. I stayed at the hotel for a total of 3 nights, and was quite pleased with my experience here.

Customer Service:
Check in starts at 3, however I arrived at 9 am and they promptly gave me my room in the main Fantasy tower which was great. A few minutes after I got to my room, housekeeping knocked on my door to ask if everything in the room was ok. For the most part, customer service was great and the cast members are courteous. There was one day however when I thought my room wasn't cleaned thoroughly. Glasses were still left on the counter and sheets were not tucked in all the way. Otherwise, service was great

Facilities:
Facilities are great! I love Disney, so the extra touches such as the artwork, mickey mouse accents and the headboard that lights and plays music definitely got me excited. The rooms are a very good size, my room had two beds, plus a large couch that turns into a pull out bed. There are a variety of restaurants on the hotel's property as well as a nice upbeat tiki bar. It was a little cold while i was in Anaheim so i didn't get a chance to use the pool, but it looked great. It consisted of a very large main pool and some cool looking slides. The location is good as it is walking distance to Downtown Disney and the Disneyland parks. It is the farthest hotel from the parks on the the property though.

Overall I would say that the Disneyland hotel is one of the better quality hotels i have stayed in while in the Anaheim area and would definitely come back again!

Room Tip: request the fantasy tower!
