“Review of 3 bedroom/3 bathroom suite at the Disneyland Hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2012

We decided to treat and take members of our family to stay at the Disneyland hotel, there were about 12 of us. If you have a large group going, it's worth it to book the 3 bedroom suite at the Disneyland Hotel. The layout that we got was a 2 bedroom + living room, and then the 3rd bedroom is connected to the 2nd bedroom. There were 3 full bathrooms and one 1/2 bathroom by the living area. It's pricey but if you're going to book 3 separate rooms, this ends up to be cheaper and much more spacious. Plus you have a common area to socialize with the rest of the family, in the living area. The 3 bedroom suite can accomodate up to 14 people, but our host mentioned it's spacious enough to fit 17 people. We also added the concierge level(or e-ticket club), which cost a little less if you book a suite compared to booking a regular room. The e-ticket club was located on the 11th floor of Adventure Tower, and from 6:30am to 10pm, you have in/out privileges of free snacks(including continental breakfast in the morning and some hot items at night), sodas/water/juice, fruits, and for adults wine, champagne and beer. Great place to watch the fireworks from here at night, and they have the same music correlate with the fireworks. Overall great stay, the service is always the best at any of the Disneyland Resorts(we've also stayed in the Paradise Pier and Grand Californian). It's very comfortable and you get a good night sleep, esp after a long (and during summer very hot) day at the parks.
Tips:
-The World of Color Show was amazing! To get a good view, we had reservations at Carthay Circle and they have a dining plan that they can give you reserved tickets for better viewing. Otherwise, you would have to find a spot outside the reserved area first come first serve.. Which depends on where you're situated, you may not be able to see anything. Check for other dining options that allow you to get reserved tickets.
-Staying at any of the 3 Disneyland resorts, you can buy anything from the parks and have it delivered to your room instead of having to carry it around with you the whole day.
-For guests staying at any of the 3 DL resorts, the park is opened exclusively from 7am to 8am before it opens up to the general public. This help beat a lot of the Long Lines, esp if you decide to do the Racers attraction at Carsland. Otherwise, fast passes for the racers at Carsland go by very quickly, if you don't have fast pass wait time can be up to 2 hours.
-On checkout day, the kids were still able to use the pool till 6pm.

This is a fine hotel, beds were fine. Ask for room where you can see fireworks. I do not think it is worth extra price unless you have small kids. Then the ease of returning in the day, and the extra hour you get for early entrance might be worth it.

Truly a pleasure to lodge here, as I did for 4-days. Wonderful service, and the remodel of the resort is a lot more than just a face lift. But tell me Disneyland: Why do you serve such horrific coffee at the Coffee House? Most everyone I spoke with who purchased coffee straight up, found it to be . . . well, to be kind - not very good at all. OK, enough complaining . . .

Everything else, was impressively conducive to a very happy experience. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Room Tip: To all Coffee Lovers: You may want to consider drinking it somewhere else. You decide for yourself.

We had a park view room on the 7th floor of the Adventure Tower. Well worth the extra dollars because early entry into the parks allows you to get a jump on the most popular attractions. Also, it is really nice to be able to get back to the room in under 15 min. to shower and change for dinner or cool down in the pool. Park view room is great as we could head home and watch the fireworks while in bed and nibbling on cookies. Only 2 downsides: cast member who checked us in scrambled our ticket order and charged us too much. Disney finally corrected this when our planner went to bat for us and then sent us up plates of cookies and milk for our trouble.mOther downside was that service at the pool was very slow so that the chances of actually getting a poolside drink or snack was almost 0. In addition they could be more aggressive about trying to remove towels from chairs so that you can use them; many people would leave towels and almost every chair appeared taken when they were not. These are minor problems however.

It's clean enough and the staff is pleasant but you pay 4 star prices for the privilege of staying in a room that offers minimal space and no special amenities at all. It's a hike to Disneyland or California Adventure, with the noisy crowds of Downtown Disney between you and your hotel -- a walk that loses its charm at the end of a long day. You get over the proximity of a few restaurants and the movie theater real fast. The improvements and remodeling from the last few years you're paying (more) for are Mickey inspired bathroom fixtures and a nice headboard. TV is still drab with the assumption being only children will be watching so don't expect to unwind there -- or in the hot tub which closes down (along with the pool) just when you need it after all that walking. Parking is a separate charge now and there is no table in the room - just a small desk. The children fought over who would have to sleep on the couch which was, apparently, horrible. No water pressure in the shower which would have been a saving grace...

I visit Disneyland annually and have always stayed in Good Neighbor Hotels. I thought the Disneyland hotel wasn't worth the extra cost since it seemed just as far away as those across the street and didn't offer much more as far as amenities. I thought this, that is, until I decided to stay there on my last trip, and now I fear I may never be able to go back. The Disneyland Hotel is more definitely more convenient, and their little Disney touches make for a magical stay. The Monorail station at the end of downtown Disney is just a short block from the lobby. It comes every 5 minutes and it drops you off right inside Tomorrowland . Taking the monorail in and out of the park allows you to skip those long entrance lines at the front gate and the mass exodus through main street at the end of the day. You also have the private entrance into California Adventure that is only for Disney property guests. Certain times of the year you will allowed to enter one of the parks 1 hour early every day. Also, anything you purchase at in the parks can be sent back to the hotel so you don’t have to carry anything around all day.

The only negative is of course how long it takes to check-in, but that can be expected of these type of hotels

The rooms here are spacious and beautiful with floor to ceiling windows, Flat screen TV’s, and a fantastic headboard with the castle and light-up stars. They have an amazing new pool with 2 water slides, Free Wifi, and some rooms have mini-fridges. My stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful and I would highly recommend it

Pros: location, pool, room with a minifridge,Goofy's Kitchen, free parking for guest
The location is at the end of Downtown Disney shopping center which is a 10min walk to get to the theme parks. 4ft multiple pools were enjoyable for the oldies and the young ones... yes it can get crowded but what do you expect... The room, just how you see it on the picture... a little outdated but clean and stylish.
Now for Goofy's kitchen: make sure you get to seat 4 hours before they close. My family has been there twice and both times we have seen no more than 5-6 characters... I am assuming because we got there 3 hours from closing time... who knows.

Room Tip: Book for Goofy's Kitchen at least 1 month ahead to get an ideal time.
