“Great Value. Close to Disney.”
Reviewed September 14, 2012

Recently Renovated. Clean and Neat. Nice for a family. This isn't the Four Seasons or a Disney Resort, but it's a nice clean place to hang your hat for an Anaheim/Disney Vacation. But I think you get alot more than you would at all of the similarly priced hotels in the area. The valet parking is a nice touch. It is $10 a day additional and is NOT an option. It's mandatory. But it's also well worth it. Most hotels charge $10-20 for self park in Anaheim. Small little private pool with (2) hot tubs. Pool area was immaculate. Honestly, everything was super clean. Some stuff was dated, but it was clean!!! We pulled out of another hotel because of reviews on here about bugs/ants etc. Nothing like that here at all. Didn't see so much as a fly the whole time.

Breakfast was pastry, muffins, toast, cereal, donuts, toaster waffles, juice, coffee and some fruit. Again, it's not the Four Seasons. But it's free and fresh. (Hit up Disney Pardise Pier for breakfast one morning. It was awesome! Make reservations) We will definitely stay here again on our next trip out in a few years. We aren't the types to hang out at the pool all day. We wake up and we go exploring. I can sit at a pool back home. The front desk, the valets, the concierge, and the housekeeping were all super super nice and friendly. And not in a fake friendly way. Really nice people! We only had (2) complaints. #1 The bedding sheets and blanket were meh. We actually went out and bought a blanket. #2 The noise was a little much. You can't blame the noise on the hotel, more as the guests. We had some inconsiderate guests come back between 12AM-2AM and were really loud in the hallways. REALLY LOUD. We have a 4 year old, and were just happy he didn't wake up.

Close to the highway for other trips. Check out the beaches, a Mission and the drive to San Diego was a nice ride. Check out the mountain view from the roof deck. It's awesome. The only reason it didn't get a five out of five with us was the sheets. Get some fabric softener Peacock!!!

Special side note: You can catch the ART Shuttle Bus to Disneyland right out front for a nominal fee. They, as MANY/MOST of the hotels that claim to have shuttle bussing, use the ART. My brother-in-law was staying at the much more exensive Sheraton and he was on the ART. I have seen some complaints about the shuttle. The shuttle is just about the same for all hotels. Temper your expectations and you will have a great time. For those who have stayed at a Disney WORLD Good Neighbor in Florida, you will find the entire experience to be not quite as nice as Florda. But remember, Florida has the benefit of their own self inclusive city and Disney bus line.

Room Tip: Ask for a top floor room, so you don't hear inconsiderate people walking/stomping above you. Th...

Close to Disney(is about a 10-15 minute walk), The Convention Center, Anaheim Stadium & bout 15 min from Knotts. While owned by a timeshare company(Shell) it is just a normal hotel room (1,2 or 3 bdrm). on the scale of a Best Western or Holiday exp. The rooms & pool area have been nicely refurbished. Beds & furniture are comfortable. The rooms have a nice living room with pullout sofa bed as well as micro. & refrig. Both rooms have Flat screen TVs. We stay here a few times a year & the the staff here has always been friendly. Unlike many of the smaller independent hotel/motels on the Blvd that are rundown & house county perolees & county welfare cases, this place is very well kept up & a safe family environment. Our only complaint is the valet parking (req.-$10).

Room Tip: I like the rooms on the inside as the outside ones facing the street you can hear a bit of traffic n...

Our stay here was exactly what I expected. Through internet research and a general knowledge of hotels near Disneyland, I knew it would not but a glitzy timeshare resort. The room was great, new furnishings and spacious. The noise level was bareable, but the walls are a little thin. We didn't partake of the breakfast so I don't know about that. The valet parking went a lot more smoothly than expected. In my opinion, this is a nicer hotel than most of the standard hotels near Disneyland and is priced comparably if not better than the others. The best thing was the room cleaning service. We traveled with two 1-year old babies and every day we came back to our room and all of their Disney souvenirs were laid out on the bed or couch throughout the room. We will definitely be back!

Let me start by saying this was not a bad place. BUT this falls far short of a true timeshare condo. This is just a hotel that worked its way into the timeshare market. The positives: Our room was not bad. The new remodel was nice. The furniture was comfortable, and the beds were nice. In our 2 bedroom unit, there were a total of 3 large flatscreen LED Tv's. Nice. The staff was very friendly and courteous. But that is all. As we checked in, we were also hit with the softsell on a timeshare presentation. I'll get to that in a few. When we entered our room, we were surprised that they looked as nice as they did. But that quickly disappeared as we found a box of leftover food left in the fridge from the people before us. That left speculation as to what else was overlooked. As we started to unpack, we quickly realized that there was no place for luggage to be put away. Each bedroom had only a small wardrobe capable of holding one normal compliment of clothes for one person. There were 6 of us staying in a 2 bedroom unit. There is no closet in the entire unit. In the bathrooms, there is NO shelving or cabinets at all for placing your toiletries. All our bathroom items had to be left in our bags and stored on the floor. A cluttered mess. The coffee pot in the unit was smaller than a typical hotel room coffee pot, and filled up 1.5 mugs of coffee is all. The refridgerator was only a small dorm room style fridge capable of holding the contents of a small cooler. Certainly not a weeks worth of food. Most people when they visit a timeshare condo are expecting to be able to keep food and cook at least several days in a week. There are no cooking utensils or facilities in the rooms. Only a microwave. There are a few plastic dishes and a few plasic cups. There was no can opener! Ok for a hotel, but not timeshare condo standard! There is mandatory valet parking. It should be a free service given the lower status of the place, but it is very steep at $10 per day. The place is not close enough to walk to Disneyland so you are forced to drive or use publick transportation wich the hotels sells. Again, another way to make money from you. We accepted the invitation to the timeshare presentation to get the $100 perk (We had to leave $20 with the concier to ensure we would show up). The Shell representative scheduled us on a day that the presentations were closed. We showed up and the doors wwere locked! When we went back to get our $20 back Shell was not cooperative and would not return our money because we did not attend the meeting that was scheduled in error by their own rep! So the rep said she would give us our $20 back out of her own pocket. Nice lady. But the Shell timeshare company - horrible. We will not be scheduling our next Anaheim visiti to Peacock Suites. I gave up other very nice full condo style timeshare places for this hotel room. Bummer.

We really like this place and try to come back every year. I have read several reviews about the fact that the rooms are not what you normally expect in a time share exchange and this is true, you don't have a full kitchen, but if you know this going in you will find this is an excellent place to spend a week. The resort is well maintained and the rooms have recently been updated (although we didn't think the old style was out of date or worn or dated). It's close to all the theme parks, Hollywood and beaches. The valet is convenient and they are nice young men that take good care of us and our car. Also it's nice to have the car in a secure garage at night. The staff are helpful and accomodating and will do anything to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The breakfast is not the best but when you are trying to get up and out it's fine and filling and satisfactory for kids.

Room Tip: Ask for a top floor room for quiet at night. There are lots of kids around and this can save your n...

We checked in late (after 10pm) and checked out before 9am. The rooms were surprisingly well appointed, even though the walls were thin. Continental breakfast was about as expected for the amount we paid for the room -- store-bought, packaged type of pastries, cold cereal, fresh oranges. They fit two queen beds in a very small room (we asked for a king, but it wasn't available). The only real complaint we had was with our check-in, which took over 20 minutes! The reservation was made through Bloomspot (I don't recommend that "discount" site) and apparently we didn't have a reservation after all! (I don't blame the hotel for that one), but one lone desk person was trying to research our reservation, answer phones, assist us -- while there was someone in the back room the whole time!

Once we got to the room, however, things seemed worth the price we paid. The suite arrangement was nice for those on a tight budget and need to sleep a lot of people. Very close to Disneyland, too, but not walking distance. (You can pay to take a tram, if you don't want to drive or pay for parking.) Oh -- there is no self-parking here. It costs $10/night to valet your car.

Being a Shell Vacations Owner for a few years, having this location in the Disney area makes it convenient, yet quiet away from all the crowds. The continental breakfast is decent, the rooms have been recently remodeled in more fresh and updated colors. Having a small kitchenette with mini fridge and micro makes it a lot cheaper to bring food/leftovers back to the room instead of having to eat out all the time. Only disappointment is the shades in the bedroom do nothing to block out the light so makes it hard to sleep in.

Room Tip: If you want to see the fireworks, as for a 4th floor room with a low ending #. If you want a larger...
